Penzión Malužiná — Hotel in Malužiná

Nice cottage with a kitchen, living room with tv, a backyard with a barbecue facility. Our room (no.6) was just upstairs, with a balcony, comfortable beds, and it was nice and warm. We spent a winter weekend there and we went skiing - there are many opportunities nearby (Certovica, Myto pod Dumbierom, Bacova Roven). The pension also had a separate room for skis and ski boots. About 1km from this pesion there is a restaurant called Radovica which is quite good, too. However, you need a car to move around the area. ||To mention some cons, we had to put the bedding and bedsheets on ourselves, and there were no towels. When we asked for them, the caretaker gave them to us but she was a bit surprised at our request (?). We were able to use the kitchen to cook some simple meals and we also used a living room once, but I would say some parts of the furniture/equipment need renovation (radio player didn´t have an aerial so it was impossible to listen to any radio station, some TV channels did not work). There was no TV in the room itself (only in the living room) which we didn´t mind, but maybe some people would. Anyway, if you are not too demanding and want something that is simple and clean, has an en suite toilet/shower and provides free wifi, and if you don´t mind cooking a bit yourself (or going to restaurants), go for this...

We stayed at Panzion Malužina in the Tatras, Slovakia. The location is truly amazing – surrounded by nature, very peaceful, and the property itself is well-maintained and beautiful. It definitely has the potential for a great holiday spot.

However, our room was quite small and cramped, with hardly any space to open our suitcases, which made the stay less comfortable. In addition, we experienced an unpleasant attitude from the owner: he told us we could arrive at any time, even at night, but when we did arrive late at night, the welcome was far from friendly. During our stay he was also walking around us quite a lot, which felt intrusive and took away from the experience of renting a villa with friends.

Overall – the location and property are wonderful, but the small rooms and the host’s attitude reduced our enjoyment...

Mid-sized cottage, clean, very well equipped and nicely furnished. Large party room with awesome fireplace and projector holds great opportunities to enjoy board games.
