Penzión Precedens — Hotel in Nový Ruskov

A nice pension in many ways but also a little strange ! The door to the shared terrace on my room wouldn't close, never mind lock. When I asked for another room they said, ' do you really need a door ? '...I'm travelling on a motorcycle with all my kit as well as electronic equipment, of course I need a door ! Some dubious stairs on the side of the bed and the bathroom didn't smell too good..possibly something to do with damp stains on the floor.. Some English spoken but I found it difficult to communicate with them, native Slovakian speakers would be able to deal with minor issues more easily. Food was great, as was breakfast, and the quiet location really makes it. But...it really does need...

It is a nice place and nice staff and average wellness but...if you are planning to stay don't expect much. The room cleanness is below average, the towels are not changed regularly if you even have any after a week, the shower soap is not replaced at all, the breakfast is quite poor for this price tag in the room price is wellness included. Food is generally good and the menu list also includes slovakian national foods. I.g. It is a nice place for relax or to take a coffee or eat something, but too expensive for that what you see/get. We stayed at the Penzión Precedens during our trip to Slovakia and had a wonderful experience. Despite being a smaller hotel, the service, food, and overall ambiance were exceptional. We later discovered that my wife’s cousin was the engineer who helped design and build it, making our stay even more special. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing! The front desk staff were helpful and polite. The views from the balcony were breathtaking. We will definitely be staying here again on...
