Hotel Marlene — Hotel in Oščadnica

We stayed at Hotel Marlene for the first time, but certainly not the last. From the moment we arrived at the reception, the young and dynamic staff were interested in us with a smile on their faces and always tried to be helpful in every situation. As for the food, I really have nothing to complain about. Dinners and breakfasts in the form of buffet tables are of a very high standard and everyone can choose.|Also, the ala carte menu and their special offer is really high league and therefore I recommend everyone to try it.|The restaurant itself has a very pleasant atmosphere, and the stay in the fresh air, specifically on the terrace with a nice view, was also interesting.|As for the staff, I have nothing to complain about. Very smiling young people full of energy and willingness.|Since I spent almost the whole day at this hotel, I also tried the wellness center. It also did not disappoint. It was good to swim in the pool, even if it is not big. The hot tub served its purpose and so did the saunas.|As for the room, mine seemed to be newly renovated and very nicely designed with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.|I was more than impressed by the experience with this hotel and its services, and I recommend it...

The good impression was a little bit broken at the end. But from the beginning - a pleasant hotel, very well located - a few minutes drive from Snowparadise.||Very spacious rooms, good food - the same right time after a day of skiing. Unfortunately, the last day of the stay in the hotel was a wedding. Not too inconvenient when it comes to noise. The impression of the restaurant was, however, broken. We were probably given a wedding menu to eat. Poor. Only the soup was good. Additionally, very slow service, waiter had to wait more than 30 minutes. ||The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is the perceived problems with employees. The rooms for our arrival were unprepared (no towels, a wet towel was hanging in one bathroom). Very nice service at the reception desk. We will probably come back here next year, but the hotel should decide on either tourists or wedding services. This cannot be reconciled during the ski season.||In addition, the wellness area requires more attention from the workers. Water in the jacuzzi once was cold and hot, the sauna did not always work. The jacuzzi carried an unpleasant smell. We need to be more vigilant.||And - very poor quality pillow. My whole stay was painful...

Bad experience.

1. I can't even find the words to explain how noisy this place is. If you expect to rest, forget it. Constantly hearing loud footsteps, voices, even snoring from the room above. Rooms are made out of wood and there's always something cracking, banging.
2. We didn't have water for 4 days.
3. Pool was useless since the water was so cold.
4. Breakfast ends up at 10 o'clock, but the food is already gone at 9 and they don't fill it up. They don't fill up boiling water, honey, juice. You need to ask them and then they will give it to you instead to put it out for everyone.
5. When we arrived, they didn't have a room to give us although we had reserved and paid everything. They admitted it was their mistake and offered us rooms for four days instead of five we paid for.
6. It's extremely hot at the restaurant, kids are constantly screaming and running.
7. Maids come to your room without even knocking, I was sleeping when she entered in and started talking on a language I don't understand. She moved the chair and left. I...
