Penzión Hrubjak — Hotel in Oravská Polhora

Restaurant was OK, I'm not rating that but only accommodation: When we wanted to shower the first night, it turned out the boiler was turned off, hence cold shower was the only option. The next day it was OK. We had double bed with both beds in different height, mine was equipped by an vintage spring slats, very uncomfortable to be honest Most importantly, the accommodation was noisy. First night we could hear somebody talking long after midnight. Then in the morning we were woken before 06:00 by guests who were making tea or coffee in the shared kitchen in the hallway. Basically anytime anybody opens any door you could hear it. The next evening there was a private celebration downstairs. It was so loud that we could barely hear the TV on normal volume. They finished just before 22:00. And then few minutes later an extremely loud disco started... Based on other ratings I would say we just had bad luck and this was just an exception, but we'll definitely not stay here again. Other than that, if you don't mind having to sleep with ear plugs, it's good...

We visited Oravska Polhora for two days and stayed at Penzion Hrubjak. Parking is no problem. The reception is speaking at least english, slovakian and polish and was very kind and friendly. The room itself was not arranged with the newest furniture, but everything was clean and tidy. Can't say anything about the breakfast or the food, cause we had nothing, but the prices looked more than fair and I only heard good opinions about it. In summary: You get a solid room for your stay in oravska polhora for a very very fair price and get everything basic you need, including free W-Lan, free parking etc. Dont't expect a 5* wellness resort and you won't get...

Bohužel jsme pobyt zhodnotili jako velké zklamání což je škoda, protože ubytování je v krásné lokalitě. Při příjezdu byl vypnutý bojler, takže jsme na teplou sprchu museli čekat do noci (bylo nás 6) a zjistili jsme, že rozmístění pokojů není takové, jako bylo v popisku na bookingu. Ložnice nejsou zvlášť, ale součástí obývacího pokoje a kuchyně. Vybavení kuchyně bylo celkem základní, ale trouba neměla dveře, na což jsme předem nebyli upozorněni, majitelé ji mohli aspoň odnést aby to nevypadalo tak hrozně, nemohli jsme si tedy nic upéct. Wifi byla slabá a v některých pokojích vůbec. Komunikace s majitelem byla poměrně hrozná. Měli jsme mít 10% slevu do restaurace v penzionu avšak ta byla zavřená i přesto, že jsme přišli v době otvíračky, která byla uvedena na dveřích i na google. Když jsme se ptali, zda bude otevřena, abychom se mohli najít bylo nám suše řečeno, že není pro koho. Nevím tedy pro koho restauraci otevírají, když ne pro ubytované v penzionu, ve kterém jsme rozhodně nebyli sami. Museli jsme jet autem na jídlo jinam. Snídaně byly poměrně základní ale to se za tu cenu dalo asi čekat i když viděla jsem za stejné peníze už i mnohem lepší. Třešinkou na dortu zklamání byl pak altánek, kde jsme chtěli grilovat, který inzerují nejen na bookingu, ale ještě ve zprávách (den předem!!!) nám bylo napsáno, že h máme k apartmánu k dispozici, který byl zrovna v rekonstrukci. Když jsme se pomocí zprávy chtěli informovat o co se jedná, přišla místo omluvy a nějakého vysvětlení odpověd: Chystali ste sa grilovať? takže zamýšlené opékání nešlo ani venku v altánku ani uvnitř v troubě bez dveří. Nutno dodat, že se sem jistě nevrátíme a to zejména kvůli komunikaci s ubytovatelem, který neprojevil žádnou snahu o řešení vzniklých potíží na jeho straně o kterých nás...
