Hotel Spark — Hotel in Plavecký Štvrtok

One of our friend gave us a voucher from Zlavadna.sk on last notice with booked reservation. I have some doubts before the actual go as I had previous experiences how hotels & restaurants are treating customers with discounted vouchers. Honestly, I was really surprised by the approach of the personnel working in the hotel, restaurant, wellness area. After day spent there, I really want to return again. In voucher was included also an entry fee to wellness area. That one is really small, but we have had the luck being there the only two of us - so it was really nice and restful. Saunas are usually turned off when people are not in wellness area, but they are willing to turn them on immediately if you want to try them. With chip on your hand you can order some drinks to wellness as well, but you have to be really patient with slow ordering reaction of the machine. The music played in the wellness is terrible, there is a place to improve it definitely :) Rooms for hotel quests were really nice and tidy, we were missing a fridge quite a bit. Bathroom was clean, new and cleaning ladies nice & polite. Surroundings of the hotel is amazing, especially during the warmer months. There is a nice lake which is part of the hotel as well, lot of grass and places just to sit and enjoy the weather. You can also take a walk around the place to a forest located nearby. Restaurant is good, worth to 3 stars - no complains at all. External terrace of the restaurant provides the place to enjoy the coffee & cake outside. I must say that we have enjoyed the stay a lot, even for 1 day/night you can take...

The abruptness of the change from a third class motel in Malacky to the elegance of the Spark has to be experienced to believe it. Located several miles off RT #2 South of Malacky, it is a site to behold. Newly constructed, the grounds are open for roaming and walks. The entrance opens onto the Registration desk that is manned 24/07. Floors are polished marble and the ceiling is high with a large balcony and staircase for the "Bride" to descend with her grand entrance. Breakfast was buffet and was good, with eggs cooked to order. The rooms were clean, modern, as was the bath, with curved glass shower doors. Linen was fine with a toasty warming rack. The service was great with our every request being met speedily. Best feature was the brightness of the new construction while the least liked feature was the drumbeat of the Saturday evening wedding the went on through the night until well-past 3:00 AM. I understand that this is a local thing and that it may continue through the morning shift change!
