Hotel Garni — Hotel in Považská Bystrica

The hotel seems to be a residuum of former socialistic system, all equipment is 30 years old, nothing works properly. Well, price is low but exactly corresponds to available "comfort". For dinner is offered so called "menu" what sustains from soup and one from 4 main courses. At 7pm two from offered mains had been gone. The available "halusky" were OK, nice but what else? No starter, no desert, salat, nothing. Becouse I was hungry, I ordered pizza. Well, again, food OK but all fat, no chance to order some fruits, cheese, vegetables.|Staff, young lady, very friendly without doubts.|Morning much worse| Breakfast was simply joke. Ordered for 7:30, at time there has wait for me cup of almost cold cofee, 3 pieces of bread, one egg, one cup of juice and few pieces of uggly ham and cheese manufactured from vegetable oil. One small cup of good juice as a bonus.||Floor everywhere wet and all common space occupied with unfriendly cleaning ladies making chatting noice (8 am).||Well for price of plot at campsite you get the same in hotel Garni. I would rather recommend to...

Stayed here for a wedding. Like an old soviet block 1986 hotel, not a word of English which I loved as had to use goggle translate and actually attempt to speak Slovak which I think they appreciated a little. Anyway went to a wedding and then come back at 2am asking for food. But the girl behind the counter had no food. So we spoke through our iPhones through google translate...of course on their wifi....|But she then gave me her pizza, which I think was her dinner!?! I felt really bad but because I was drunk I took it and are it.....if I see her tomorrow when I'm sober I will give her the biggest kiss and cuddle because she saved the day and was quite literally the best person ever! God bless her and her generous ways. I could marry girls like her xxxx |If you are ever passing through here and at least try to speak Slovak, then it is the friendliest place ever and you should come here...

Billboardy, pútače a nakoniec na stránke - ...najlepší hotel v Považskej Bystrici.... nedá mi teda, nenapísať recenziu na hotel Garni - najlepší v Pov. Bystrici. 25.10.2013 som pozvala na večeru svoju rodinu, keby som bola vedela, aké prekvapenie nás čaká, neprekročím prah tohoto najlepšieho hotela... Po 30 minútach čakania, som si začala myslieť, že je to reštaurácia bez obsluhy tak som išla poprosiť pani čašníčku, ktorá sa rozprávala s pani kuchárkou cez okienko, o nejaké nápoje.Po ďalších 30 minútach nám boli prinesené...Večeru sme si objednali o 19.40 hod. a bola nám prinesená o 21.05 hod.. Pochopím, keď je veľa ľudí - počkám, ale v reštaurácii bolo do 20 ľudí a dve obsluhujúce čašníčky, ktoré nestíhali - rozprávali a smiali sa s kuchárkou... K rezňu MEXIKO sme dostali namiesto curry dresingu jogurt, ktorý zostal z denného Menu. Keď sme žiadali dresing vymeniť, pani čašníčka drzo ironicky odvetila, že všetky dresingy sa robia z jogurtu...Po večeri nám zostali špinavé taniere a poháre na stole, ktoré okolo idúca pani čašníčka nevidela, zostali tam, až pokiaľ sme sa nezdvihli a neodišli preč. O akcii na pivo, sme sa dozvedeli až pri bare, pri platení, kde sme si to náhodou prečítali a upozornili účtujúcu pani čašníčku, ktorá nám nakoniec aj zle vydala....Odporúčala by som majiteľovi hotela z Trenčína, aby námatkou vykonal dychovú skúšku na alkohol u svojich zamestnancov....a tiež návštevu /aj s daným personálom/, napr. reštaurácie NÁMORNÍK, kde je stále - podotýkam-stále plno ľudí, ale s takouto obsluhou a čakacou dobou sa tam človek nestretne, alebo hotela ŠTUDENT v P.B.,- obsluhujú tam decká, ktoré sa ešte len učia, ale také chovanie a obsluhu, ako v hoteli Garni tam...
