Penzión Bystrica — Hotel in Považská Bystrica

We found Hotel Bystrica while getting lost trying to find another hotel in town. We asked if they had any rooms available and they only had an apartment, but it was for a lower price than any other place we stayed at in Europe so we decided to stay. The apartment was beautiful! Skylights in every room, giant bathroom and tub, a kitchen area stocked with dishes, minibar, and very clean! We only stayed 2 nights but it would have been the perfect place to stay for a week. Kate, who spoke a bit of English, was at the front desk most of the time we were there and was so friendly and helpful. We ate a few times in the restaurant and everything was much to our liking, whether it be pork, eggs, or halušky. I definitely plan to stay here when I visit...

Lovely place to stop for outstanding lunch or dinner. For me it is one of the rare places I like to return again and again for its 'Genius Loci'. It is even worth to exit the freeway between Trenčín and Žilina and visit this magical place. We were never disappointed with the meal, environment of the restaurant and the surroundings or the service.
