Our company have had a team building in hotel Sachticka. Hotel is situated nearby Banska Bystrica / appr. 8 km / at the saddle of the Pansky diel hill/. Located high in the mountains /960 m above sea level/ the hotel and its surroundings is an admirable place for all those visitors who like natural scenery. Pansky diel is the utmost peak of the Low Tatras. It offers a magnificent view to the surrounding countryside. If the weather conditions are favourable it is possible to enjoy the beautiful view of the Low Tatras, the Kremnicky and Stiavnicky Hills, the Big Fatras. There is a forest path leading to the picturesque village of Spania Dolina dominated by its church originating from the 12th century. The surrounding is breath taking. Such a nice place! To hotel it self - a bit outdated but nice. Stuff nice and helpful. But when it comes to rooms - a nightmare. Old furniture, TV remote did not work, no fridge, cold in room/ heating totally old and not function. Bathroom - even worse than the room - small, no space, etc. But room had a nice terrace with beautiful view. Restaurant offer variety of meals which I personally have enjoyed, breakfast as usual, some eggs, some cheese, some hams, etc. In SPA center is small pool, but water was quite cold. All in all maybe an average hotel, but with nice, helpful stuff in amazing surrounding for those who love nature or enjoying skies in...
Read moreThis hotel is situated in a really beautiful location in mountains. The views are simply great. During winter the ski resort is directly at the hotel. There is a lot of entertainment for kids outside - mini Zoo with horse, goats, sheep, chickens, huge sandbox, sports playground... and also inside there is big playroom, etc. Simply said - a lot of fun for kids. ||Now the dark side - this hotel used to be luxury... 30+ years ago and some of the things there are actually true socialistic originals of 1970's - 1980's. Namely the windows - there is no need to open them to get some fresh air because the huge gaps will do the job. I think it can be quite fun during the winter. The rest of the furniture and the rooms looks like renovated in mid 1990's so again - a little bit below average of what you usually think of while looking at 3* hotel. But - the hotel and the room were clean - really clean. ||And now the cuisine - well the same story - stuck in the 1980's which is actually really shame. Two cups of rice + chicken leg / no sauce... does not need any...
Read moreThe rooms and some of the kids play areas could do with a little tlc. Our carpet looked a bit unfinished and had a stain or two. But our in laws room was absolutely fine. ||That said your arn't going to be spending a lot of time in your room. ||There is a great huge outside space in the hotel grounds including your own balcony. The bar area is nice and food in the restaurant was ok. Childrens play area there are two outside and one dedicated room inside and the inside bar area also had some toys children could play with. ||Which having kids would be good if it was raining or two cold to go outside. ||There are a few good walks all with good views and a tower on the grounds that give you a nice view as well. ||WiFi does work in the rooms and...
