Hotel LIPA Slovakia — Hotel in Stará Turá

I had to stay here as unfortunately my preferred Hotel (Stefanik) was fully booked. ||||First I must praise the staff -They spoke great English, were charming and provided great service. Cannot fault them at all. I must give a personal thanks to Ferdinand who was very kind and helpful during my stay. ||||Now onto the hotel - first I should remember that this is a three star. ||Positives: ||-Great customer service by the staff||-Good sized rooms||-Good food at the hotel restaurant||-Warm rooms (great for winter)||||Negatives||-Small single beds - with really cheap/soft mattresses (uncomfortable = bad sleep)||-No stand up shower (only had a bath with hose - no shower curtain)||-Breakfast was limited - really unpleasant||-No drink-making facilities in room||-Advertised a massage services in hotel but when I asked they said this hasn't been available for a long time||-Hard/ uncomfortable carpet in the rooms||-Crispy/ hard towels||-Bar area was smoking - if you wanted non-smoking you had to go into the restaurant||-Horrible/ cheap smelling shampoo/ soap||-No room service||||Personally, I believe that this hotel is overpriced for what it offers and would never choose to stay...

We wisited the hotel as we were invited to the weddind. The celebration and our stay was planned here. ||The celebration was excelent. Perfect food! Very good service. Nice people! Just perfect! Can recomand. ||On the other hand the hotel services are of poorer standard. ||Our toilet was totally broken. Any of plastic pices were holding together. We said it on reception but with no responce....|Also the mini bar wss totally empty. We said but again nothing happened.||The room 407 is hot. Even if we turned heating off.||Otherwise nice hotel but you can not expect the level of services of...

As expected for such a small town like Stara Tura da hotel is mediocre. The rooms are old and there are quite a lot of stains on the floor but otherwise its clean. The staff speaks English well. Sadly there was no breakfast buffet es advertised, probably due to the low number of guests. The offered a la carte option was well done and uncomplicated.||Interesting is the higher than expected price for the remote location and Slovakia in general. The money for the room will buy you around 60-70beers in a local bar, thats...
