I love Topolčianky! My parents got married in the castle almost 30 years ago now, and it's still as magical and well preserved as ever. The grounds are clean, vast and perfect for a stroll, the castle itself is a magnificent work of architectural design with Romanesque columns, large french windows and a unique roof design in the courtyard!

Excellent tour, guide very knowledgeable, expositions at the castle outstanding, every piece is an art. Recommended to visit this place.

On the positive side, the building is a splendid piece of history and I had a large, comfortable room. The hotel is in a park away from traffic noise. A la carte breakfast was excellent and included in the room price. But be aware that nearby church bells chime throughout the night every 15 minutes. Also, many will find the design of the rooms unsatisfactory: a bathroom and a room with a lavatory were shoehorned unsympathetically into a large bedroom. It felt odd. The modern repro furniture both in the bedrooms and in the dining room also let the building down.||In addition, the hotel’s management displayed a communist era level of poor service in relation to dinner options on the night I was there. As it was a public holiday, they told me the hotel restaurant would be closed. I asked what other options there were in the town, to which they replied that there were none - they would all also be closed. The only open options were in the next town. So I went to the trouble and expense of bringing food and drink with me. But it turned it that they hadn’t checked and that a nearby restaurant was in fact open. Lesson for the hotel: on such matters, do your research carefully. Other hotels would have offered a partial refund as a way of saying sorry. This one didn’t.||One of the reasons I went to the hotel was to visit the museum, which according to the Eyewitness guide to the Czech and Slovak republics, should have opened at 9am. On the day I was there, I was told it wouldn’t open till 10am - too late, given my onward travel plans. So I left...

The hotel is in a quiet area of the city Topolčianky with a large park and greenery.||||The hotel staff was very kind and helpful.||||Rooms at the hotel are on the floors, no elevator. Many are located far from the hotel entrance and reception, which can be a problem, particularly for the elderly and mothers with strollers.||||Rooms at the hotel were very nicely decorated and modern. Beyond the beds, table and cabinets, there was also an LCD TV. Room was clean.||||Bathroom was not big but sufficient. Surprised especially wide shower.||||Breakfast is administered at a local restaurant within the castle. They were very simple, not a great selection of food, but they were tasty and fresh. Lacked fruit and juices. Food was on the table evidenced gradually, we had to wait bring new.||||During our stay, the restaurant and bar closed due to private events. As guests, we were reliant go to eat...

Have spent just one night in this castle hotel. Really liked the quiet surroundings and park. The room was spacious, matrace not too soft rather hard (which I prefer). The castle iself looks brilliant. The car park is some 100m walk, but you can drive the car to the gate and unload your luggage and park later. Hotel restaurant is just average. If your ears are really good, carefull. the castle has some old clock that chime every 1/4 hour. Even though this is not so loud, some people might find it disturbing and there is nowhere to run away from the bell :-)||WIFI only in some rooms, but they provide LAN cable for laptop users free of charge.||NO AC in standard rooms (don't know about Luxury ones) but as the building is rather old the thick walls provide good shelter from summer heat (over 30°C at the time...
