DO NOT RECOMMEND! You won’t get any sleep in this hotel! Old windows and unbelievable street noise — heavy trucks shaking the bed as they pass under the window starting at 5 AM! On the other side, there’s a nightclub blasting music until morning. The receptionist lies when she says it’s the “quiet side.”||The rooms are dirty — foreign hairs on the floor, the shower doesn’t drain properly, so you end up standing in a disgusting puddle of urine and hair left by previous guests. The bathroom is filthy!||The tiny TV looks like it was bought 20 years ago — the screen is so dark it’s unwatchable. They couldn’t even install the toilet seat properly — you end up sitting on the cold ceramic, which is also stained with urine from previous guests. Absolutely disgusting!||Lightbulbs are burnt out and no one bothers to replace them. Although the rooms are advertised as non-smoking, they stink like cigarettes and are clearly smoke-filled.||The water served at breakfast is discolored. They have very few guests and obsessively watch the 2–5 people who do show up — checking if you’ve eaten “too much.” They stare straight into your mouth! It’s unpleasant and there’s no privacy.||The coffee is just brown water — you’d be ashamed to call it coffee. Reception closes around 8 PM, and after that, the place descends into chaos — drunk groups partying all night long!||They won’t give you your money back — there’s a 100% cancellation fee!||Please check for better options nearby — I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreFortunately, I came here after the renovation, because the old hotel didn't seem to be nice. But the new and improved face of Limba is very nice, especially when we consider the low price. The room is clean and neat - I had the view over the town, river and surrounding mountains - perfect. The service didn't bother, the people at the reception are really nice and helpful. Well, maybe the staff at the restaurant could be faster and more interested in the customers, but it is only restaurant in the town (except for 2 pizzerias), so there are a lot of people. Food is all right, the breakfasts are varied and for everyone. There's also spa part, but I haven't visited it. The hotel is located in the centre of the town, there's Lidl supermarket 50 meters away, and in 200 meter radius there are pubs (full od cigarette smoke!), cafes and shops: everything in a reach of a hand. Perfect spot for the tourist who want to see the beauty of Orava. However, the town itself...
Read moreHotel is very good, new (renovated) and clean, rooms and showers are really spaceous, continental breakfast not bad too. Unfortunately we had an inconvenience. We arrived late in the evening and got the room. When we decided to get some sleep and make room cooler (it was really hot day, and room's weather got hot), we found AC dead. It was impossible to open the balcony because of noise in the main street nearby. I went to reception and met a security guard, who didn't speak english. What ever, I know polish, so I could explain my situation. He informed, that he couldn't help me, and there is no other staff at night. Lucky me:) It was a "super good" rest before 14 hours driving next day. Any way, I can say, that this hotel was one of the best budget hotels in Slovakia I...
