Unfortunately not the best experience with the restaurant.
We called to order a grill plate and asked how much would it be to have it delivered to our place.
(We were only about five minutes from the restaurant) They told us it would be 2 to 3 EUR max. (Keep in mind the price was already the same as at the restaurant and not cheaper). But no problem. We agreed and ordered. When the delivery shows up they want 10 EUR extra…🤯
2 EUR for the container (total rip off) but even then four times more than what we agreed on the phone.
After some discussion we agreed to pay about EUR 4 still more than what we agreed and what they told us. So we definitely do not recommend. Unless you like getting ripped off. Maybe because we are tourist they though well they can pay 10 EUR for a 5 minutes delivery 😳.
Regarding the food it was ok (nothing bad but also not really special).
The fries and salad were together in the airtight hot container so by the time they arrived they were all saggy and mushed.
Also the food was heavily condimented but not in a good way like they used something very artificial like aromat.
Unfortunately we would not order again. Maybe the restaurant provides a better experience but as a tourist make sure to ask for prices in advance. Definitely an unfortunate experience for a EUR...
Read moreThis one is very difficult to write because we tried all their services and they deserve different ratings... Overall I would reccommend this place for wine tasting and their restaurant. The owner and employees deserve all the starts, they were super friendly and helpful and were trying very hard to make our stay great. Wine tasting was also 5*, it was lead by the owner’s son and it was simply great. He knew everything about the wines and we tasted some very interesting bottles. I think we’ve never had so many samples. Their wine cellar is very spacious. Food was very good but we were very disappointed with the “covid” menu. It was pizza, burgers and fried stuff and we were looking forward to their local traditional menu. They did have halaszle soup and it was incredible. Breakfast was also very good. Would definitely come here for dinner once they have their normal menu back. Bike rental. 15eur/day seemed quite overpriced and the bikes needed some repairs. Accommodation was 2* for us. The room is tiny and overfilled with furniture, the same goes for the balcony. Weird bedding and very soft bed. It’s on the main street and close to railway so it’s very loud. It was very clean and there...
Read moreUsed to be a great restaurant, but in recent times it has nose-dived. My 3 last visits have been disappointing. Food is just not as good as it used to be - under-seasoned soups, overcooked rubbery dumplings, watery sauces. Service abysmal - teenagers with no experience and who are slow in every element of service, don't bother to take dirty cups and plates away, and ignore you and make you wait 10 mins for the menu and another 10 mins to take the order. I don't understand how this is possible because the owner has always been right there in the restaurant.
Below is my review from last year. Such a pity the restaurant has changed so much. "The best restaurant in the area! Seriously, the chef(s) is truly talented. We've been here on multiple occasions and have always left thoroughly satisfied."...
