Hotel Patriot*** — Hotel in Vranov nad Topľou

Was there only for one night. Hotel was easilly accessible by main road. Exterior of the hotel was not pretty to say the least, half of the fasade was ruined and it was not giving off nice vibe, it looked like and old building from socialistic era. If I was just ridding around by car I would probbably not stoped there, but I had reservation. Also hotel surrounding was not loking pretty, industrial zone and a big supermarket. Parking was big and free and there was available space for us even if hotel seemed full. Check in/out was fast and clerk was verry nice even if we came late - cca 23:00. Interior/lobby/hall were interesting at all. Halls on the floors with rooms were empty, just ordinary white walls and room doors. Lobby had a lot of space with a lot of furniture and sitting options, but overall it was not done with style and it looked rather cheap, first impression was lack of style and effort. I had a small room, but new furniture. It exactly the kind of furniture you would expect in 3star hotel. But It was new, which was a plus. Bed was comfortable, room and walls were clean, temperature was OK. Bathroom was clean, and had basic neccessities. Breakfast was included in price and it was good, almost verry good. Variety of meat (baccon, sausages, salamies) differenty prepared (baked, fresh, cooked), some cheesse selection, vegetables, juice, caffee, pastry sweet and salty selection, cereals. |Conclusion - I was thinking about giving it 3, it deserves 3.5/5. But since I cannot put 3.5 in the end, due to very frendlly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, and the fact they are only 3star hotel, for very low price, I end up...

I stayed in this hotel for a 2-night business trip and got terribly ill on the first night. Everyone, ranging from the receptionist to the room maid was so helpful and nice. I got anything I needed to my room with a beautiful smile. Being late for BF was not a problem they couldn t solve. Rooms are spacious and furnished with the attention to real needs of clients.
