3 stars for the very friendly waitresses and the price/quality of the food.

Minus 2 stars for:

The price of the beer, which is outrageous.

The 'suite' was old and battered, torn wall to wall carpet, broken curtain, but somehow still expensive, just because it's in the Tatras.

The receptionist is not exactly friendly or welcoming and only says "thank you" or "please" if you say it yourself in an ostentatious way.

All in all I'm sad to say way too expensive for what it is, just because of the location.

Also there's a shooting range nearby so avoid if you have pets...

We have visited Zivka in the past, but now we were very surprised at how the property has grown. The nice new spa was a pleasant surprise.|Very peaceful setting at the foot of the mountains. The staff is nice, very helpful. They also offered us ski passes for 10eur less than on the Opalisko ski slope 400m above the guesthouse. Very tasty breakfast buffet, plenty of choice from savoury to sweet to muesli. The cherry on top was the extremely tasty and beautifully served 4-course New Year's Eve menu. Spend here three nights off season. Hotel was quiet, staff friendly and helpful. Room was spacious enough even for 4 persons. Bathroom clean and nice. Bed was really comfortable (I like harder mattrases). Restaurant - definetely above average food, waiter looks sometimes confused or timid . . . There is no wellness facility but you can visit another hotel for free (3 km distance, we didnt try that). Be prepare there is no night life in the area. I can recommend this hotel for...
