Hotel Havrania — Hotel in Zázrivá

We visited Hotel Havrania from the USA in January 2022. This place is a gem! |Getting there: We rented an AWD SUV in Vienna and drove the 3.5 hours to the hotel without any difficulty. Border crossing was smooth, didn’t even have to stop until our return back to Austria. If no snow a car would be fine but there was plenty of slippery snow on the roads in the mountains so we were thankful for the AWD to not have to worry about chains. |The hotel: Gorgeous! The quality of construction is noticeable and the views of the surrounding hills, countryside and mountains are stunning. We had a room in the hotel that was clean and comfortable, but they also have chalets that are incredible for a group or family. The restaurant has a cozy fireplace to enjoy after a day of adventure and the bar is well stocked with a fine selection of liquor. There is also a Wellness Center with 2 saunas (one steam, one dry), a cold tub and a warm pool, and a relaxing room to rest in. Can also book a massage. |The food: Everything was delicious, you would think you were at a 5 star restaurant in the city. Wonderful cuts of meat with flavorful sauces and a great selection of tasty wines to pair with whatever you choose. Wish we had more time to try everything on the menu. |The staff: Everyone was friendly and attentive. They know the area very well so if you need recommendations on where to ski in the winter or hike in the summer they will happily assist with your plans. |We are so glad we found this place and cannot recommend it enough. Prvý a posledný krát! Prišli sme v jednu krásnu nedeľu na obed, boli sme 6 dospelí a jedno dieťa. Na jedlo sme čakali hodinu, po hodine doniesli palacinky pre malú, plus 2 polievky a nejaké to predjedlo Po hodine a štvrť doniesli tri hlavné jedlá z víkendového menu (nedoniesli ešte 3 hlavne jedlá) Mne doniesli z víkendového menu kačací steak na hubovom rizote (ktoré mali objednané ešte ďalší dvaja ľudia na našom stole) doniesli len mne, po 20 minútach prišli povedať ze zistili ze nemajú uvarenú ryžu na rizoto!! Podotýkam že po hodine a pol zistia že v kuchyni nemajú uvarenú ryžu na rizoto ktoré už je dávno objednané ???!!! A ktoré mali ešte objednaní ďalší dvaja ľudia so mnou? Nerozumiem prečo to neuvarili naraz? Ved museli vidiet objednávku!! Po 15minutach doniesli cestoviny ktoré robili asi tu hodinu a pol, čašníci sa bránili že majú toho veľa pri tom na parkovisku boli len 4 auta z toho na dvoch sme prišli my a boli obsadene len 3 stoly, za jedným sme sedeli my! Medzitým si objednala kamarátka šúlance s makom, ktoré priniesli skôr ako hlavné jedlo objednane pred hodinou a pol a po chvíli sme sa konečne dočkali kačacieho steaku na hubovom rizote. Doniesli len jedno!! Na ten druhy zabudli a ani sme sa ho nedočkali !! Personál mal úplne na salame, nikto neodnášal prázdne poháre, nikto sa ani len nepýtal či si ešte dáme niečo na pitie úplná ignoracia. Čašníci sa smiali za barom. Keď videli že sme už všetci nervózni radšej nas už áno neobsluhovali. Vypýtali sme si účet ...... Na účte bola suma 115 eur, pozeráme bloček a nasli sme jedlo na blokované navyše z denného menu, ktorého sme sa ani nedočkali . Išla to riešiť známa ku baru s čašníkmi.. Bola privolaná aj vedúca alebo majiteľka, alebo kto to bol, bohužiaľ sme ju vyrušili pri čistení húb a príjemnom pokeci s niekym na terase. Pri riešení problému vedúca nebola ochotná sa ani len ospravedlniť za všetky problémy spôsobené jej personálom. Jedlo stornovali a nahodili nový bloček .... Pri kontrole sme zistili že nám s novú na blokovali jedlo navyše ktoré sme si ani len neobjednali... Čo už dokopy robí cca 35 eur. Podráždená známa to išla riešiť s tou ich akože vedúcou , ta sa jej úplne vysmiala do tváre, a neustále sa bránila že majú veľa objednávok, pri tom tam už nebol skoro nikto. Asi sa neriadia pravidlom nás zákazník náš pán, nesnažila sa nijako vyjsť v ústrety ani vyriešiť tieto problémy a našu nespokojnosť. Bolo jej to úplne ukradnuté! Ešte nas aj urazila a poslala nás sa najesť do rýchlej vyvarovne. Akože úplná hanba .. V živote som nezažila takýto otrasný prístup, chcela som tam vziať rodinu na večeru ukázať im reštauráciu, ktorá na prvý dojem vyzerá úplne skvelo. Po skúsenosti by som sa skôr hanbila za to, kam by som ich zobrala. Pre mňa toto, je to najhoršie čo má mohlo stretnúť, vyše 2 hodiny sme tam zbytočne zabili a budem tento Hotel zďaleka obchádzať. Samozrejme o svoju skúsenosť sa...
