Lipa, Hotel & Bistro — Hotel in Šempeter-Vrtojba

We stayed here on our trip to Slovenia on two different occasions while visiting family nearby. Each stay was for one night and we had two rooms. The first room had a king room, and the second room had a double bed for a single person in the room.||||The rooms were very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is an air conditioning unit mounted in the room that is controlled via remote control; and it worked VERY well during the hot summer months we were there. Our room was quiet, and the bathroom was enough for what you needed.||||The room certainly is not luxury or glamorous but that isn't the point. We needed an economical stay near the family and this definitely fit what we were looking for. ||||The restaurant and patio was always busy day and night. The included breakfast was sufficient for us in the mornings, with plenty of selections to begin our day.||||The staff was very kind and helpful! We appreciated their assistance with luggage. As there is no elevator at this hotel, if you are traveling with a larger suitcase and other items, the stairs can be quite daunting. And it takes a few staircases to get to your room as it is a larger property.||||The hotel parking lot is in the back of the building with limited spaces. ||||I would definitely stay at this...

We only stayed one night passing through, so I can only give a short impression. It is a good location, near tha highway with a nice village center probably the best option on the slovenian-italian border. ||||The rooms are well equipped, with air-co and many Tv channels. However the bathroom was not very modern, but it also had everything you need. Just make sure you do not get the room on the side of the temple if you expect an early sleep or long sleep, it is noisy: the tower is a nice view from the window, but you should expect the regular bim-bamms; also the hotel's bar works as an open bar and coffee not just for guest but anyone to sit in, which means loud music and laughters till 11pm. ||||The breakfast was very local, which is nice if you want to taste some of the slavic products, and good variety for a few mornings, however it might get boring during a longer stay. With some of the options being on the lower end, the quality of the fuite juice is quite poor for example. ||||The staff was friendly, helpful and they all spoke english extremely well, which I did not expect in a small town like that - so that is also a good point! ||||Overall it is an OK hotel, for a short stay definitely no problem, but do not expect anything...
