Gostišče Pri Slavcu — Hotel in Šentjernej

On our road trip journey from UK 🇬🇧 to Turkey 🇹🇷 , we were rather unexpectedly introduced to this charming gem when our car 🚗 decided to take a nap on us…I suppose we were fortunate that our mechanical mishap occurred within proximity to such a wonderful motel 😅

Greeted by the radiant and spirited owner of the establishment at around 9pm, her positivity proved infectious. Our kids, initially rattled by the sudden halt to our journey, were soon giggling and at ease thanks to her cheerful character!

Our accommodations for the night were great, with comfortable beds that offered a restful night's sleep. A delicious treat awaited us both at dinner and breakfast. Every dish, particularly the salad with chicken 🥗, was a very delicious dishof – a high recommendation from me 👍.

The freshness of the breakfast spread was great as well, right down to the just-out-of-the-oven bread that delivered a tempting taste with jam & honey.

As for the outdoor veranda, it offered an fresh, comfortable atmosphere where I enjoyed the delight of my post-breakfast coffee. Paired with the lovely clean mountain weather, it was truly the cherry on top of our unexpectedly pleasant experience 🍒

Realy bad food, bad service and nothing was clean. I mean glasses was dirty, both pitchers were broken and dirty, placemats were dirty too, just like silverware. French fries were awful, overcooked, hard to chew. Calamari were overcooked too, chewy and not fresh. Pasta was absolutely overcooked and decaying. Food is overpriced. Realy realy...

A regular Gostilna. Good food, decent services and price. You can eat out, the terrace is quite comfortable and roomy. A good stop between Novo mesto and šentjrnej. As I recalled by my past visitation this gostilna had a bowling. I didn't asked if this feature was still...
