I write this review from the perspective that we own a 9 m and 2,5 ton caravan. We have no small van, caravan or even a tent. We are aware of the fact that travelling with a vehicle in that size needs proper planning and that you can not access every spot. So we asked the campsite one year in advance for a pitch suitable for our above mentioned caravan including the car pulling it. We also asked the accessability of the campsite for a 14 m combination. We were told that it's no problem and two suitable pitches were offered. Furthermore we checked Google Street View and the available pictures to evaluate if we can access the campsite with our caravan. The reality is that the campsite entry is not a wide gravel lane as shown on pictures because half of it is used as parking area. I don't want to exagerate but if I have to ask six or eight people to remove their cars just to get access to the campsite, something is wrong. The campsite itself was muddy due to heavy rainfalls. Nobody can be blamed for rain, it's a higher power. If we would have managed to enter the campsite, we could have left our 2,5 ton caravan there due to the fact that it would have been stucked in mud. All this is somehow our personal problem. What really annoys us is that we asked one year in advance for the feasability of the campsite to host a 9 m and 2,5 ton caravan which was answered with yes. It's surly a great spot for small campers, but don't let you fool from the internet that it's an empty place with space for big vehicles. The campsite has very limited space, so the entry lane is used as a parking area for cars which don't fit on...
Read moreWe can confirm all the positive reviews. We planned to stay a few days and stayed for 10 days and still, we would have loved to stay longer.
I would advise the owners to expand the number of toilets and showers, since the campsite is very popular and thus with many people staying, there is the need for more sanitary facilities. But I have no complaints over the hygiene, even with many visitors, everything was clean at all times. My utmost respect for this!
The atmosphere is very relaxed, the owners and the staff are very helpfull and friendly. And there is lots to do, definitely cycling, hiking, playing in the river, tasting wine... Even with children. Since the campsite is located in a valley, you van cycle even with a car for a kid behind your bike. You might want to stick to the flat roads, because it can go quite steep uphill but it's doable. And the playground was just enough for our daughter, also perfectly to meet a few other kids, without it all being too much (we're no fan of animation and such).
And we especially loved to just start walking or cycling from the campsite, and make a tour. Don't only stick to the marked roads, just take the small roads and you'll end up beautifully.
I can recommend both this campsite and this area, for a couple of days or even weeks. We only regretted our holiday to come to an end! Thanks to Kamp David for a...
Read moreLocated at the foot of Malovše, this campsite offers tent-only space on terraces that look natural while offering some nice spots for a camper vehicle with amazing views. About 3min drive from the highway, this camp site is really quiet. Across a vineyard, its really close to the Otliško okno (the natural window) and several other amazing hikes. At the reception, you can get all the information about the nearby vineyard trip or hiking/biking trails. You can also rent bikes here. For people who love to sit back at the camp site and relax, it offers coffee/drinks and 5g wifi - I watched football one evening in HD. The modern shower/toilets with rock music was special. For such a young camp site, it offers a great experience. They also offer discounts for people who have the avtokampi membership card (which...
