Planinska koča na Uskovnici is a wonderful mountain hut located in the heart of Triglav National Park, Slovenia. It is the perfect place to stay for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers. The hut is beautifully situated in a remote valley, surrounded by towering peaks and lush forests. The views from the hut are simply breathtaking.

The hut itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. The hut also has a small bar, where you can relax after a long day of hiking.

Like many easily-accessible mountain huts, this one also feels more like a regular city café than a cozy mountain retreat.

Overpriced in general. The food and drinks have lost that homemade charm—or at least any feeling of authenticity.

It’s about an hour and a half walk from Hotel Pokljuka and sits in a beautiful little mountain village. The location is lovely, no doubt about that. But the place is often packed with tourists (myself included), which kind of kills the peaceful vibe you’d expect up here.

We ordered coffee, štruklji, and a dessert. The coffee simple wasn’t great. The štruklji had too many sugar, and the dessert had only a few lonely blueberries...

This mountain hut felt like home. The rooms are bright and extremely clean, and the beds are very comfortable; as if you were sleeping in a bed of flowers ;)

The owner and the staff are helpful and very friendly. Due to unexpected changes I wanted to stay for one more night. The owner did not hesitate to arrange rooms and beds for me.

The food is delicious and the breakfast buffet had even fruits and vegetables, which are not common in mountain huts.
