We were delighted with the food! And we tried most of the menu - from sausages and meat via quark with potatoes to strudel. And can recommend! It was worth waiting all the way up! Also the atmosphere was great. And prices like downstairs - but in an incredibly beautiful scenery!!!!! Definitely worth it! Btw - the prices are not written when you come in (maybe they should be - everybody wants to know how much you are going to pay :) ), but you get a menu with prices when you ask. And there is a natural playground for kids. And goats. All you need to enjoy sitting there for a while! We will definitely go again when we...

The goulash was amazing and the atmosphere was very chilled out. Great staff and the prices were reasonable… we had a goulash and 2 ice teas and paid around 20 euros… which is totally worth it considering the location and the view… idk why people saying it’s overpriced… there is a menu and the prices are displayed for all to see… so idk how some of these reviewers are surprised when they have to pay… not recommended for cheap low budget travellers… try bringing your own stuff and a tent if the prices...

I was not satisfied about my visit here. The waiter (a guy, maybe the owner?) was not kind nor helpful. The dishes are expensive, a single soup (jota) costs around 6,5 euros and it did not taste good. The coke I have asked for was a noname one, as it did not taste like coca or pepsi cola. Also I did not get any receipt. Probably the dessert would taste great there, as it looked good, but because of the jerkhood of the waiter we did not ordered...

Great location reflected in the prices. €36.60 for two small beers and 2 plates of sausage an Saukraute. Spoon full of potatoes and a couple of spoons of Saukraut. NOT good value Prices not on show so you can’t see that you’re going to be ripped off Great location for a cooling beer but if you need to eat wait till the place a mile or so further back down the track. Much better value

This place is an easy 10/10. I’ve been coming here for the past 30 years, and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic, the beer perfectly cold, and the prices pleasantly moderate. The quality is consistently excellent, and the scenery is absolutely stunning—worth the visit on its own. Just one tip before you go: they don’t accept card payments, so bring cash.

I understand the complaints about the prices not being shown unless asked for, but I personally didn't find the prices high, given the location and view. I had jota (bean, potato and sauer kraut "hotpot") and zganci (buckwheat groats) for €14.30. Might be worth noting for vegetarians/vegans that the jota "without meat" is probably not vegetarian.
