Gostilna Lipan — Hotel in Gorenja vas-Poljane

In Slovenia for work and was booked in this place. First, the owners are extremely friendly and accomodating people, they made my stay enjoyable. The building is right on Poljanska Sora with views of the hills all around. It is right on the road, but I did not hear any traffic noise in my large, clean room. Big free parking area which was nice. Only negative is WiFi that was spotty on some days, but I always had a strong cell signal. Hotel also has a restaurant and a bar in it. Included breakfast served every morning at 7. I ate at the restaurant a couple of nights and each time the food was very good. I had sausages, pizza, and trout on different nights. I always visit Gostlina Lipan when i come in Ziri for business meeting with Msora Norica. The place its very clean, and the property its very kind and gentle. The rooms are very quiet and you can sleep with the sound of the water of the close river. You must try the delixious fish , its super fresh so good that i always think they have just catch it in the river 5minutes before :) Yesterday they wait for me , and open the restourant for me! So there was a bit of a mix up with their price, their website said a different price to what I then got billed.

They honoured the lower price. No fuss, no hassle, they realised they had screwed up etc. I have a big amount of respect for that! This level of honesty speaks volumes.

Customer service is really great and overall incredibly friendly. The food is pretty solid and sleeping right next to a fast flowing river was a real delight!
