I planned this trip for my adult son , an avid fly fisherman. (First week of JUNE 2024.) I like my fishing on a lake or a slow moving rive in a jon boat. So I spent my time travelling ALL OVER Slovenia, visitng the many bistoric sites from the Italian Front of WW1 and the many partisan OSS sites from WW2. The rooms are very nice. The guides are excellent. The breakfast service is incredible.. And the location is SECOND TO NONE - literally right on the banks of the Krka River. Less than an hour from teh airport in Ljubljana. I am going to try an orghanize a reunion with my fly-fishing classmates from West Point...

I recently spent a week at this fantastic spot. It is a great lodge about 25 minutes from Ljubljana and is right on the river. And while I didn’t do any fishing, it is my understanding that the fishing here is great. There is plenty to see and do if you don’t fish and if you do, the owner can arrange all that you need to fish.
