Fantastic hosts, great view into the mountains from balcony, cozy room, breakfast is from 8:00 to 9:30 and includes bread, eggs, cereals, milk, ham & cheese, homemade juices, yoghurts, jam, honey, fresh fruits and some local specialities like fried pancakes. Special requests were not a problem. On some days they offer a 3 course dinner from 7-8pm for 20€ each for which you can sign up in the morning after reviewing the menu. However, as we always returned late we did not try it. The room is cleaned upon request (you can put a sign at the door) which we like as we do not need daily cleaning. They provide brochures in different languages just like a tourist information and you can even get a discount for some activities.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definately come again, just some minor aspects to be aware of: Wifi is sometimes a bit weak but still ok for such a secluded place. The boxes for keeping the food warm at breakfast could be better, eggs and pancakes were sometimes a bit cold. You hear a lot from the other guests in neighboring rooms, especially when they take a shower which our neighbors used to do around 6am in the morning or 11pm at night. The road to reach this great place is small, curvy and without markings so try to come home before it is dark.
Thanks a lot for the great...
Read moreThis is an absolutely incredible place to stay for anybody visiting the Soca valley. Urska was a wonderful host and made our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children age 5/7) feel so at home during our 3 night stay. The Family Suite was large and well appointed, with comfortable beds and spacious storage as well as a lovely kitchen with everything you could need. The views were lovely as well, high up in the hills of Kosec overlooking the valley below and a beautiful grassy area and patio in front of the property where the kids could play. The breakfast each morning was delightful and we enjoyed a free packed lunch in lieu of breakfast on the final day since we had to leave early, which was a nice gesture on their part. ||The on-site sauna/hot tub that you can rent out in 2 hour intervals was a nice treat as well. My wife and I took advantage of it one night during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it; it was well worth the price and in excellent condition. || I also accidentally left my airpods behind in the room on checkout and didnt realize until I was on my flight back home. Urska was kind enough to ship it back to me, which was incredibly kind. Dont hesitate to stay here, it was the nicest accommodation of our 9 days in Slovenia and we hope to...
Read moreA wonderful place to stay with kind thoughtful hosts, delicious home cooked meals, breakfast and dinner and views down the valley which are incredible with the changing light. Autumn is a great time to visit, as the forest colours are tinged with yellow and red, the hamlet of Keso just above Dreznica is a delightful place with small farmlets, many apple and quince trees, and vegetable gardens. Pumpkins arranged on doorsteps, and window sills are abundant. Our hosts had a beautiful garden even growing a kiwifruit vine on the wall. We were fortunate to have sunny weather after it had snowed on Mt Krn and the Western peaks of Triglav NP. Urska and her Mum make everything from pickles, to sage, red basil, elderberry flavoured water served at breakfast , jams, cured meats, etc and sell some of their products . We had a sauna and hot tub at the day spa on site and Urska arranged a local masseur for my adult daughter. We were sad to leave this garden of sensory delights, and abundance of nature's gifts and our hosts who were lovely...
