At first glance it feels almost like a distant autobahn hotel, but once you arrive it turns out to be much more welcoming and charming. The rooms are decorated in a classic old-European style, very comfortable, and they are even building a whole new section with a more modernized design.
One downside is that there is no elevator, which makes it a bit of a struggle to carry luggage up the narrow staircase. The staff, however, are super sweet and welcoming, which creates a nice atmosphere.
Breakfast was included, with a limited selection but very good quality ingredients. The only real issue I noticed — and I say this as constructive criticism — is that the buffet was not refilled after around 08:30, even though breakfast was until 10:00. Many trays stayed empty for almost an hour, and only when I asked for vegetables were they replenished. As a gastronom myself, I understand the idea of reducing waste, but service should still meet the guest’s needs.
The highlight is the in-house restaurant, which is on another level: elegant decoration, fine dining experience, excellent main courses, and a good wine selection. It really adds value to staying here.
Oh and there is no pool! Someone posted a pool picture here on google but it’s not...
Read moreThe overall experience was unfortunately negative: the dinner itself was excellent, and the first waiter who served us proved to be extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. From the very beginning, he was kind and available, always attentive to our needs and making sure we felt comfortable. At the end of the meal, he asked if we would like dessert, and when we told him we preferred to wait a few minutes, he was understanding and patient, without putting any pressure on us.
Unfortunately, after some time, we asked another waiter, who completely ruined the atmosphere with his rude and disrespectful behavior. Pointing at his watch, he brusquely told us that the kitchen was already closed, without offering any alternatives or showing a minimum of courtesy. This was particularly unpleasant, especially since we had not been informed earlier that dessert service was about to end.
The first waiter, despite the situation, still tried to solve the problem and genuinely seemed sorry for what had happened.
I believe that kindness and courtesy are essential in the hospitality industry, and this experience highlighted how the difference between excellent service and poor service depends heavily on the attitude...
Read moreHotel Kunst was a delight to stay at. From the courteous greeting at reception desk to the lovely well kept, beautiful modern room, very comfortable bed( that I got one of my best nights of sleep ever on), gorgeous bathroom and no disturbances through the night.
We then had an amazing meal with some very special friends. The appetizers and entrees came out to perfection. They had entertainment on the patio during dinner that added to the wonderful ambiance of decor and attention to detail service.
