Hotel Bau — Hotel in Maribor

I am very fussy. I want everything spotless, I want friendly , helpful and happy people around me especially when on holidays. My husband is fussy he does not like holidays Hotel Bau Maribor was absolutely fantastic. I cannot write enough about them. The receptionist helpful, friendly, the rooms were absolutely spotless, for the first time in my life i did not have to re clean the hotel room with dettol. The breakfast was scrumptious, warm , fresh ,plentiful and perfectly cooked meals every day. My husband on the second day was telling me he wants to come back to Bau Maribor Slovenia, now this is someone who hates travelling and hates sleeping on another bed other than his own. The Slovenians made us feel perfectly welcome. The reality of the hotel is much much better than what the photoes show. On a last note I thoroughly recommend anyone staying here at BAu Hotel Maribor 4 euro takes you to the city centre and Bau Maribor is a very quiet and friendly neighbourhood.This family hotel deserves 10 star rating. The overall stay we had at hotel Bau was good. The hotel is located between the city center and ski slopes. It took us 10-15 mins by car to get to the gondola. It takes 5-10 by car to get to the city center. The rooms were pretty clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast was a disaster. The coffee was extremely bad as well as the orange juice. The juices were just water with some kind of orange syrup or something. Another thing that we didn't like was that we needed to pay for the parking. The parking place is quite big and you would really want to park at the hotel parking place as there aren't many public parking...

We just finished up a stay at Hotel Bau, and wanted to share with everyone, what a Great Experience we had. My family reserved 2 rooms for us since they live locally, and the staff at Hotel Bau provided us with rooms that were next to each other. The rooms were Absolutely Fantastic! Large rooms that are spotless, and with that is a Great Breakfast that will surely satisfy everyone's taste. Breakfast is from 7-9 weekdays and 7-10 on weekends. If you are in need of internet service during your stay that is also provided, and works excellent. Whether it is a 1 night stay or longer as we did, you will feel Welcome...
