Zerko Holiday Home — Hotel in Mirna

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Zerko Holiday Home! The place is a perfect blend of charm and comfort—cozy interiors, stunning surroundings, and a view that looks like it was plucked straight out of a postcard. Picture rolling green hills, peaceful silence, and the occasional visit from the cutest sheep and cows you’ve ever seen.

The house itself is packed with everything you need to unwind in style. We spent our evenings by the warm fireplace, relaxed in the sauna, and soaked under the stars in the outdoor jacuzzi. And the cherry on top? A wine cellar stocked with unlimited homemade wine—yes, unlimited. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Nina, our wonderful host, made the experience even more special. She welcomed us with genuine warmth, gave us a full tour of the estate, shared its fascinating history, and even recommended some great local spots to explore.

This wonderfully situated chalet is the perfect place for anyone wanting to spend some quality time in the most peaceful rural surrounds, only 45 mins out of Ljubljana.

The views in all directions are spectacular, supermarkets, restaurants and other places of interest are all within easy reach, and the chalet has all you will need for a great stay. Including a fantastic outdoor, covered, jacuzzi hot tub.

Our incredible hosts - Nina and her parents Janez and Marjeta were so helpful both in advance of our stay (even doing a shop for us given our Sunday arrival when supermarkets are closed) and when we were there - always helping with anything we might want or need. Thank you Nina in particular for everything!

(Lastly, if are a birdwatcher - and depending on the season - you will love this house. We saw Golden Eagle, various Woodpeckers, Hobby, Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, Raven, Nuthatch, Golden Oriole, Black Redstart all from the house - and more close by, including Spotted and Pied...

This is truly a wonderful place to be in Slovenia. The host family is incredibly nice and friendly and they serve the most delicious breakfast made with love in their home. Right after our arrival the host gave us a detailed tour around the house and garden and even prepared a little surprise for us. Also there is a whole list with activities already prepared for the guests.
