We asked our hotel where we could do a horseback ride on a trail and they sent us to this hotel. It is about 40 minutes from the Logarska Dolina, perhaps about 30 minutes from the Sentrupert exit on the main highway. Okay to find with good, clear instructions; probably impossible for English speakers without. ||||The hotel is quite grand looking but is almost completely deserted--I mean ghost town deserted. We went in July and there was absolutely no one at the hotel except a woman who worked the bar and a few locals who came to use the tennis courts. We had a drink while we were waiting for the horse people to arrive, the whole time feeling as if we were extras in the film "The Grand Budapest Hotel." ||||The property is huge and there is a large and (could be beautiful) stable that appears to have fallen on slow times. Nevertheless, we were taken for long trail ride by two young ladies who work at the stables. The ride was lovely with a mixture of simple instruction and a chat about Slovenian culture and the local economy. The route wandered through nearby farmland and then turned into the forest for a beautiful trail ride. The two young women were great, very safety conscious and also very clearly experienced with the horses and instruction. Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend a ride if these two ladies are in charge--they are good. ||||I can't suggest that anyone stay at this hotel as it looks as if it were deserted. The horseback riding is fantastic, although a little difficult to arrange. If you are staying at a hotel/B&B have the hotel call and inquire in Slovenian (we got the number off the website, but it didn't connect directly to the horse riding people). It seems to be the only way if you are trying to make arrangements with short...
Read moreThis hotel is held by a family and it is very nice. It is also a ranch with a lot of horses. The owners are very kind and helpfull. We had a big room with a king size bed, TV, etc. The bathroom was also very big and clean, but sometimes it hat a weird smell. The whole hotel has horse motives on the walls and they are beautifull.||The breakfast was very delicious, it was a buffet and we got fresh eggs, just made for us :) And the coffe was great!||We had dinner in the hotel too, it was also very delicious and the portions where very big.||||The hotel has a SPA zone with few saunas and a large jacuzzi, but it's opened 3-4 hours in the evening. When we get there, the owner, mrs. Natascha apologized to us because she forgot to turn the water on in the jacuzzi so it was very cold...we were not mad, mistakes can happen to everyone :)||||We went on a one hour horse ride on our second day, for only 15 € per person. Since we've both never rided a horse, it was a really nice experience, and a little bit shocking for me. A girl that was our guide on the ride, was on her horse in the front, then my girlfriend and I behind her. She took us through the woods, We were a little bit afraid, but it was great at the end. :)||||The property is really big. They have also a little wedding chapel, tennis courts, playground for little kids, etc. You can see it in the pictures.||||The hotel is on a nice location, surrounde by woods and a little river. It's not so hard to find it as I thought.||||My advices:||1. take the one hour horse ride||2. Visit the town of Nazarje, it's small, but...
Read moreHotel has a bad business management because when you book a room via Booking they confirmed it a then in a hour the massages you that they don't work on the days you where supposed to come. That is just a trick, because when you ask for the refund they stop replying and act like nothing is happening, because if you cancelled it they get half of the amount the room is priced at, or they use the worst trick the day you supposed to come although they aren't work, they send you an on-line check in so they can say to Booking that you are a no show and then they charge you for the full price. And the Booking doesn't want to help although is the...
