Hotel & Restaurant Dolenjc — Hotel in Novo Mesto

I visited as an invitee to a party. They have a nice hall that can probably comfortably sit around 100 people. In front is an outdoor terrace. There was enough place to dance and there is also a small stage for a band or, as in our case, dj. Food was served as a buffet. It tasted good. Dessert was also tasty. But all in all it was not overwhelming. They usually serve here a la carte, but they also offer lunches. They also have pizza in their offer. If you want more than just eat you can play darts or billiard or bowl. They have 4 bowling lanes for which they prefer that are booked in advance. Bar area looked nice, but I didn't actually spent any time there. Toilet facilities were clean and even during our party they checked it regularly. This place is also a hotel, so if you had a drink to much you don't need to worry where you'll sleep. The parking lot in front of hotel is spacious. I find it very disappointing that in this day and age where there are so many allergies and food sensitivities this place seems to be unaware of it.. No vegan options (unless you like to munch on a salad only), almost no gluten free options, even the side dishes had weird allergens written next to them.. for example potatoes had peanuts and milk products listed as allergens in them.. why??! The waiter wasn’t interested in helping out with finding something healthy.. so I ordered two side dishes and a salad 🙄 And even the boiled vegetables were swimming in oil.. All in all a very disappointing experience.. I hope they realise they should try to accommodate people with health...

We got married at Hotel Dolenjc last September, and honestly - it was amazing. The food was seriously delicious, the service super friendly and relaxed, and the rooms were clean and comfy.
