Hiša Vukan — Hotel in Ormož

If saying it was a nice stay in this house, it would be an understatement. It was truly amazing. We had the luck to be there in mid of autumn, when the vines were all in golden colour and the view from all rooms in the house was stunning. 5 minutes by walk to nearest winery, 5 minutes by car to another. You are definitely not bringing your own wine with you! The owner gives you a nice selection of local wines to choose from in the cabinet, but our predecessors obviously slammed all the bottles already as all we found were empty ones. This house is fully equipped with amenities that you literally feel like at home. Starting from cork opener and blender to washing machine and dryer. If you wanna grill a burger or a steak, there is even a barbecue outside. To shorten my enthusiasm - my family was thrilled. Saying this I mean also the kids, which is quite relevant in reviewing things. And... we already booked a weekend in December. Lets hope for...

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Hisa Vukan. The house is extremely comfortable and well-equipped and is in a dramatic location perched close to vineyards. We tasted some delicious local food at the nearby tavernas and enjoyed some impressive Slovenian wines at the different vineyards. We hired bikes from Simplycycle Slovenia (our hosts kindly helped establish this connection) who delivered the bikes to the house. This was a fantastic way to explore the area. The hosts were very helpful and responded promptly to all our enquiries prior to our stay. We spent three days in this lovely house together with two more families with small kids. We loved the house, the terrace and the green area so much that we forgot about all the trips that we had first planned. The host was very nice, responsive and helpful.
