Oddajanje turističnih sob (Prenočišče) Sanabor Darko s.p. — Hotel in Postojna

The reviews here confuse me. We were looking for a place to stay near the castle and the cave and this place had the highest reviews in the area. Like other reviewers, I will say the owners were incredibly hospitable, especially in the area of food. Greeting us with plum brandy upon our arrival and then preparing a huge spread of a breakfast the next morning. Wow! Their generosity even included providing foil and encouraging us to make sandwiches and take food with us for lunch. Very kind and generous indeed! But we were not pleased with our sleep that night or the room we stayed in. The bed was as hard as a board. My husband thought it felt like a box spring without the mattress. The walls were so thin and we had the unfortunate pleasure of hearing the man next to us snore all night. So, if we are ever in this area again, we would not stay at Guesthouse Sanabor. We would probably opt to stay in the capital and drive over in the morning. It's only about 30 minutes...

I stayed at Guesthouse Sanabor for one night on my 10 day trip around the exceptionally beaufitul country of Slovenia.||The owners were very welcoming and hospitable right from the start with the offer of a fruit brandy on arrival.||The Guesthouse was very quiet and my double room was basic but very clean and comfortable.||The Guesthouse is located next to a main road but set well back. Traffic noise may be an issue for light sleepers if the windows are open but I had no problem.||Guesthouse Sanabor is highly recommended for an overnight stay in this part of Slovenia close to the amazing Postojna cave.||The Avio Pub is a very short distance away and recommended...

If I stayed a room with window, I would rate as 5 points. It means it is almost perfect as a budget guest house. It is far from Postojna Cave in 15 minutes by car, from highway to Ljubljana and Italy in 5 minutes by car, from Ljubljana in 40 minutes by car. The location is quite good for every destination.|Their breakfast is not buffet, however must be much better than buffet. So many foods made me already full even in early morning, and they also willingly accepted my request for 3 egg fries. I like this guest house, so must stay here agaun in the next time !|For family room, there are a double bed...
