Hotel Oskar Zaplata — Hotel in Preddvor

We wanted to eat something in the resturant. We sat down, a waitress came to take our drink orders and she was quick. For the food orders another waitress should have come. And we waited for her to come around for approximately 20min. She went by our table, didn't stop and disappeared again for some time. For info: there were alltogether 10 tables to waiter, 3 waitresses were working - 1 in the bar, 1 for drinks and 1 for food. In 30min we couldn't order food. We had a baby with us, so we didn't have time for some slow food version of a servive. We paid for our drinks and left - my husband needed to ask 3 times for the check. We stayed here for one night whilst on a cycling holiday. We were greeted warmly and provided with a welcoming drink. The pension is very traditional and feels very "Austro-Hungarian". It is a little dated but, as everywhere in Slovenia, spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were only two tables booked in the restaurant and service was, surprisingly, very slow but when the food arrived it was excellent and well worth waiting for. Pension is 15 minutes from Ljubljana airport, which is why we stayed. Some guests were staying as part of hiking or biking tours.||||My wife loved the bed. We were on 3rd floor and had porthole window and large skylight, so had good ventilation, but no view. Recommend checking in earlier than we, or booking room on 1st or second floor.
