Pod Orehi Guest House — Hotel in Slovenske Konjice

What happened to us at this hotel can only be called a fraud. We booked a room at booking.com, paid and arrived on time (after 8 hours drive) - with a child, a 6 month old baby and a miniature dachshund. And the man at the front desk said that they would not accommodate us with a dog. Surprise! On their page in Booking there was a badge “dogs allowed”, in the description of the hotel too, among the reviews there were guests with dogs. However, they showed us some piece of paper and repeated “it says here that dogs are prohibited.” It was hard to discuss since a man at the front desk does not speak English. We were too tired to stop and call to deal with booking.com + it was evening, so we left to look for another overnight stay before too late.

As a result, the next day, when we asked for a refund through booking.com, the hotel refused, indicating that dogs were prohibited in the description. And indeed - the description on the booking changed in one day!)))

Guys, you are scammers and...

This little place is perfect! It fit all our needs when we travel in Europe: in a little village, family run/owned, only 3 rooms, great food and beer! And, we need to add the family...Viktor and his mother and father were excellent hosts! Viktor's father let us in when we arrived, Viktor (the son) arrived later, and his mother was the cook ! We had a great time, and Viktor was so personable and interesting! The place was very clean, good view from balcony, and great place for walking down to little village. The hiway you see from the hotel was quite entertaining, watching cars and trucks come through the tunnel. Viktor speaks PERFECT English !To get to room is a winding staircase, but Viktor and his father took care of getting our bags up and down the steps! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything...

i didnt expect any luxury accomodation but, for those who choose this accomodation for a sleepover only:||- Gostisce Pod Orehi is first of all - not as close from the highway as you might think||- The restaurant is open until late evening which is great , but the quality and choice of food is really average||- the breakfast is very big, but no choice there, you eat what you get. I would advise in this case to at least ask the guests if they have any dietary preferences||- location is really beautiful, but unfortunately quite loud, due to the highway (it's right in front of your windows)||- rooms are ok, but beds are quite small||- wifi was good||- the host...
