Farmhouse Štiftar — Hotel in Solčava

We stayed in one of the rooms for 5 nights over New Year's eve.

Very cosy and comfortable accommodation; the house and rooms give a warm, alpine feel typical to the region. Everything was in mint condition with more than enough amenities. The breakfast was abundant, prepared on the spot with local delicacies. The host was warm and welcoming and offered guidance and tips for discovering this beautiful region.

There is enough parking and the small town centre with a grocery store and some souvenir shops is a 2 minute walk from the house. It's also a good base for many hiking trails and a mere 10 minute car ride will bring you to the surrounding valleys for a plethora of hiking...

We stayed here recently and absolutely loved it! Katja and Ida were fabulous hosts - so welcoming and kind. Katja had great advice for us on where to go hiking and other things to do in the area, which was great. Our apartment was clean, quiet, well stocked and exactly what we wanted for a perfect stay. The farm was beautiful and we loved learning about the area from Katja and her family. The location couldn't be better - Solcava is the most adorable village and the surrounding mountains were absolutely spectacular. Overall nothing but good things to say about Stiftar farm and Katja's family! ...

This house is situated directly in Solčava, it is very close to the shop, information center and restaurant but still has very peacefull neighborhood. You can relax behind the house or on the opposite side where there is a small park with chairs and hammocks for the guests available.
