Extremely nice spot in a lesser known but charming Slovenian valley. Suitable for tents and vans with shadowed areas, and easy access to electricity plugs. Budget prices for camping accommodation even in peak season (9 euros/night/adult!) . Toilets and showers were always in good conditions at any time of the day in sufficient number. There is a small free playground for kids, very appreciated both by children and parents. Nights are very quiet with no noise whatsoever; only the peaceful sound of the nearby small river can be heard. The restaurant and bar serves good food and drinks from breakfast to dinner at very affordable prices (10 euros for a well-sized BBQ meat dish; there are also local dumplings, pizzas and salads; and beers at 2.2 euros). We stayed there for 7 nights, with daily trips to the Soča valley, Bled lake (also reachable by train from the nearby railway station) and Bohinj lake, which are all within reasonable distance. The staff was always very nice. I strongly recommend this camping; we stopped there by chance and couldn't have found a better spot. Thank...
Read moreVery nice camp located in the village of Koritnica, near Koritnica river. They have a plenty of space of cars as campervans. It is also possible to stay in a wooden cabin. We stayed there for only two nights but if we could, we would definately stay longer. There is a shared kitchen available for all guests (including fridge). But you can buy breakfast, lunch or dinner at the local restaurant led by Sami. You can also find there a playground for kids. It is possible to swimm in Koritnica river, though it is cold. In peak summer it doesnt go above 20 degrees. Perfect spot to start exploring local nature, including Soča river, Tolmin gorge or anything else. The people working in the camp are very nice and we would be happy to come back there next time we are...
Read moreWe arrived with no expectations and we didn't want to leave this place. It's really awesome and we recommend it.
Upon arrival, everybody is guided worth little tour around. So much is there: well equipped kitchen, drinking water, bar with quite good pizzas, good coffee, free maps of the area, natural pool in the river, a place to swim or jump to the water, hammers for tents. It's totally quiet, no car noise or so. Just waterfall in the background. Some locals come to eat and have a beer at the bar.
We made a whole day trip to Bohinjsko Lake by train from Grahovo, it was fun. Hiking around and the river took another day.
The real thing about this camp is people. Stuff is super helpful in a natural way. You just feel like home. Same for...
