Na Biru 2 — Hotel in Tolmin

We spent a wonderful week in July 2025 as a family of four at Holiday Home Na Biru 2 in Gabrje – and we can highly recommend it! The location right on the emerald-green Soča River is absolutely peaceful and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The house is beautifully equipped, very clean, and furnished with great attention to detail – we felt at home right away.

A real highlight was the warm and caring host Marisa, who was always available and helpful whenever we had a question. She even spoiled us with fresh vegetables from her garden and a delicious homemade apple strudel – what a treat! She was also very flexible when a friend and his son joined us for an extra night on short notice – thank you so much!

We especially loved the spacious terrace overlooking the river – perfect for breakfast, relaxing, and enjoying nature. Our children had a blast with the direct access to the water, and the many outdoor activities in the Soča Valley – hiking, kayaking, canyoning, and more – made this vacation truly unforgettable.

We spent a summer week in August at the Na biru2 chalet. A very practical chalet with everything you need. In the garden you can even find vegetables that you can use for grilling or in the kitchen. The emerald Soča river is just a stone's throw away, you just need to find a place to relax, right on the riverbank. There is a camp nearby, but you don't even know about them until you walk along the riverside path to the camping buffet, where you can have a snack. To the nearest shop by car, or a longer walk or by bike. They are not available at the chalet, you have to bring your own or rent them in the town of Tolmin. The neighboring chalet Na biru 1 is a few meters away, but privacy is guaranteed and it is pleasant to chat with someone, sit in the evening with wine and grill together. We had a fantastic time here. The home is clean, comfortable, and spacious, and there is a sliding glass door that allows you to move from the living room to the covered patio, where there is a long table to dine at or share drinks in the evening. The home itself is located in a valley with a scenic view of the surrounding mountains and hillsides. The hosts were very friendly and communicative, and Blaž is an excellent fly fishing guide who was born and raised in the area. With immediate streamside access, this is a great destination for anyone interested in fly fishing on the Soca River or for people who enjoy nature and outdoor experiences.
