I usually don't go out of my way to write a lengthy review, but in this case I'll happily make an exception.
My girlfriend, dog and I spent 6 nights in the glamping in July 2025, and it was a truly wonderful stay.
The location is gorgeous, as you can already see on the photo's. There are 10 cabines on the campsite, which makes it all feel small, cosy and quiet. The garden in between the cabins is also beautiful, and full with self grown fruits that you can just pick and eat right there (bonus points if you ask the owner Janez about them and he'll passionately tell about his garden).
The cabins are small and cosy and have a nice bed, bathroom with toilet and shower, and a small kitchen with one electric fire. To be honest, the "kitchen" is not really equipped to actually "cook" in it (we heated some pasta and tomato sauce the first night, but I wouldn't try to cook anything more complex than that ;-) ). To be clear: we didn't experience this as a negative point, it's still a glamping after all, not an apartment! We decided to go for take out food or local restaurants the next evenings. There's plenty of good and very affordable restaurants nearby. There's also a BBQ on the grounds which you can use, and I believe they were installing an outside kitchen on the camping site while we were there.
Also important to know is that each cabin has an airconditioning unit (and floor heating, which we didn't need in the summer) which ensures you can sleep comfortably on very hot nights in the summer.
Every morning, a big basket with breakfast would be delivered on our porch (each cabin has it's own porch, with a table, chairs and most importantly a stunning view on the mountains and nature), where we would then enjoy breakfast on our porch. The breakfast consisted of sandwiches, yoghurt, cheese, and different kinds of meat (different each day), 2 pieces of fruit and cereals. It also came with a bottle of home made juice, milk and you can go get delicious fresh coffee at the reception as well. All in all plenty, and we usually took some of the breakfast left-overs with us as lunch or snack for the activity that day.
Each cabin has it's own private hottub, which we enjoyed a couple of times in the evening. Perfect way to end the day in the nice hot water.
The glamping's location is also an ideal place to explore the surrounding nature and the capital Ljubljana.
We visited Velika Planina (45min drive), Ljubljana (30min drive), Pericnik Slap (Triglav national park) (30min drive), Lake Bled (25min drive) and I'm saving the best for last: Lake Bohinj (40min drive).
To top it all, there's also a public swimming pool at about 5 minutes walking distance , and you'll get free entry from the glamping owners every time you want to go.
Unfortunately we only had 6 days, but next time( ;-) ) we'll stay longer to be able to explore even more.
I already mentioned we took our dog with us, and he as well was very welcome in the cabin and on the glamping site (which seems to be the case all over Slovenia).
Also good to know for Electric Vehicle owners is that there's a charging point on the glamping parking.
I can go on and on, but to close this review I'd like to talk a bit on how extremely nice the owners of the glamping are. From the check-in to the check-out and everything in between we've only been met with extreme friendliness and the will to accommodate for their guests. We'd meet Janez almost every day after our activity of that day, working in his garden. Always up for a small chat and some banter (and petting our dog Charlie), and would always offer his best tips for the activity of the next day.
If Google would allow me, I'd rate this place 10/5, but unfortunately the maximum is 5/5.
Thank you Janez and the rest of the staff for the nice vacation, and we'll definitely be coming back to Slovenia and the Mountain Fairy...
Read moreThe four of us, 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 visited this gorgeous spot just last week. The glamping was easy to find, just off the main road to Tržič; you really can't get lost. There is plenty of parking right in front and the location is ideal to go exploring this part of Slovenia. Bled & Bohinj are just a short drive away, Radovljica (charming city) is even closer, and you can literally walk to Tržič (do visit the museum, for which the host provides free tickets). Needless to say, mountains, hills, and bike paths are a dime a dozen. Plenty of supermarkets and few bars located a brisk 5-minute walk away.||||The little cute houses are much bigger than you would assume. They are extremely well put together and every little space is used. We unpacked all of our stuff easily. The ceilings are very high which gives it plenty of room. All facilities are really nice and new. The bathroom is wonderful, completely new, with a shower, a sink, and a toilet. The dining area is just big enough to serve 4, and you have a small cooker, a water heater, and a hotel fridge at your disposal. Pots and cutlery aplenty. The sleeping area is a huge bunk-bed that features a kingsize bed for the parents (really large) and a large bed above it. Our boy was thrilled with the amount of space and privacy. We had our little one sleep in a cot next to us, and there was still plenty of room. You can spend a couple of hours inside, no problem.||||That is if you want to go inside because outside is gorgeous; freshly mown grass, fruit trees just outside each house (cherries, apples, and all sorts of berries, free to pick), and a little playground, all to observe and enjoy from your porch. Surprisingly little insects and forest animals in general, apart from birds, but the silent types :) We let our little one explore around the house all the time. The sleep quality was superb, even though the place was almost fully booked. Almost complete silence at night.||||Finally, the best thing are the hosts. They are extremely pleasant people trying to make your stay as best as possible. I could go on and on what they did for us but it suffices to say that you won't find anything lacking. Open, friendly people, trying to improve and add to their services daily. They are always there when you need them, and simultaneously somehow always...
Read moreStaying at this lovely glamping establishment has been one of the absolute best vacations I’ve ever been on. Me and my partner stayed at the Mountain Fairy Tale Glamping resort for 5 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The accommodations were cozy, comfortable, wonderfully arranged, and so incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The beds were great to sleep in and super roomy. We also really enjoyed relaxing on the top bunk bed, just for the fun of it. The hot tub behind the chalet was excellent and the perfect companion for anyone looking to relax and unwind and we especially enjoyed the romantic addition of the candle-lit lantern placed next to the hot tub at night. The breakfast was delicious and served in the most adorable basket in front of our door every morning. We found ourselves looking forward to it every time we woke up. There was so much to choose from - everything from sweet to savory, fresh fruit and yogurt from local farmers… plus the staff asked us if we had any food preferences, restrictions, allergies or anything else they had to be mindful of. Truly excellent service. Finally, I wish to put some emphasis on the staff members and what an outstanding service they provide. Throughout our stay they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable, welcome, and taken care of. They provided detailed information on the local sites, restaurants, and interesting locations to check out, gave us discounts for local shops, restaurants, museums, you name it. We couldn’t be happier and we have already booked our next stay there! Truly...
