Hotel Krona — Hotel in Upravna Enota Domžale

I loved my stay at this hotel with my husband for a week stay in October 2019! The way we were greeted by the owners Martin & Silva was like we were old friends, both speak excellent English. The rooms we were in (we left a few nights to visit elsewhere, then returned) were nice and clean; they were on the small size for what we were used to (being American) but everything was there for a comfortable stay, plenty of storage and desk area--just lacking more . Housekeeping was really good with needs and cleanliness.||The food that Martin cooks is absolutely amazing...we wanted to eat every dinner there. He is a 5 star chef, his menu is incredible with variety. His buffet breakfast was amazingly plentiful and excellent variety...he will make you eggs the ways you like and coffee the way you want (when he is not there, his wife Silva does an excellent job as well). Locals go there, they have many business groups meet there. The lobby walls are full of pictures of past guest and beauty pageant contestants where Martin participated with....our picture is there somewhere (along with Melania Trump's father with Martin). Sufficient free parking for rental car, good location near major roads, shopping, etc. ||||I was negligent in writing this review, but now with coronavirus time, finally did this (sorry Martin and Silva). We had hope to return in 2020, but it looks now like it will be another year. We definitely would stay here again....felt very safe and comfortable! When you go to celebrate the New Year at the Hotel, where you have never been, you always take everything with caution, and not too high expectations. But at the very reception at the door we were surprised.||A very nice welcome from the locals and the whole family, with an aperitif and a warm welcome. The rooms are comfortable, and well heated because the temperature was outside around -1 degrees.||We have welcomed a new year here, with excellent cuisine and very good music. The next day we had breakfast, but only at twelve o'clock, because we had a good night's sleep after a tumultuous and fun evening. I can only say that we will be back again, and it may not be the New Year's Eve. But one good dinner with the hotel owner will...

When our group arrived at „Krona“, we were greeted by nice personnel who gave us tasty Slovenian drink (sadly I don’t know what it was). After that we received keys for our rooms and moved in.||We were glad to live in „Krona“. It’s nice and cozy hotel with interesting interior. Located not far from main touristic attractions and famous places (Bled Castle, Vintgar Gorge, Ljubljana, the Krvavec ski resort and other). There is also a supermarket „Mercator“ near here (about 10 minutes walk).||In general we enjoyed our stay in „Krona“. Only the breakfast menu could be bigger.
