Hotel-Restaurant Rakitna — Hotel in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

I spent 5 nights in this hotel at the beginning of July 2022 during European training. The location was just perfect for the event and also to disconnect from daily life and easily focus on the purpose of the trip and take some rest as well. Though, it can get tricky to get there with public transportation. ||The staff was incredibly welcoming and always at service in any kind of situation. It was impressive. Lovely people! Even though, they can get a bit disorganized now and then. ||The rooms were spacy enough, cosy but somehow needed a bit more cleaning, particularly after the flood. The common areas were spacy and served the purpose, in particular the meetings room they have behind reception. It is good for a group of about 20 people. ||The restaurant service was equally good and very flexible to different diets. Good and tasty food though in big portions. We were always leaving a good amount of food to waste. ||The overprice is somewhat expensive, but in the end, it is still worth it for the location, the people who work there and the service and food...

I tried to use sauna but since it was not available I checked what they actually offer from what they advertise. According to the staff, out of what they advertise they do not offer fitness center, no hiking, no diet menus, fisihing is possible but has nothing to do with the hotel, no indoor play area, no shuttle bus, no hammam, no TV area, no ironing, no hot tub, no bike rentals, no babysitting, no sauna, no snack bar, no board games, no children activities, no airport transportation, no spa, no concierge, no laundry service. There is no service at all there. Do not go there unless you really have to!!! Beside that, all outdoor furniture is broken with nails sticking out, the woden fence is broken in so many places that it is a surprise to see it still standing up. I tried a pizza which is available only during the weekends. It is a very basic pizza which was served back in the 80's. The view of the lake is priceless, though.
