Penzion Tavcar — Hotel in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

The rooms were very nice (ours was newer, the girls stayed in one of the older rooms), very clean and with good daily service. The breakfast was simply amazing, especially for a hotel with only 12 rooms. There were fresh fruit of all kinds, cereal and granola, juice, coffee, yogurt, butter/jam/honey, dairies, breads, lots of other stuff. And the nice person serving the breakfast room (Stane) kept offering to make scrambled/fried eggs and espresso/cappuccino, no extra charge of course.||The location was great for us as it's 2 minutes from the Ljubljana ring road, so we could drive to Bled and Postojna and other places easily. 5 minutes to the BTC shopping center, and 15 minutes to the center of the city by car.||We will surely come back when...

We stayed at the Penzion for two nights. Property was deceptive - traditional looking on the outside and very up to date on the inside. Room and breakfast were the best we experienced in two weeks in Croatia and Slovenia. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is semi-rural (quiet) yet only six km from the old town in Ljubljana. Lots of parking available. We had a car and could be parked downtown in ten minutes. Local bus available but you would have to plan your day a bit more. Would definitely stay there again. Tavern style restaurant next door was reasonably priced and provided...

Everything about this penzion was perfect! The location: not far from the city center, accessible by bus, in a very pretty and quiet district. The apartment: very comfortable, clean and cozy. The beds were very good too. The breakfast: excellent! There is a great variety of foods and beverages to choose from. The staff:  Great people!
