I spent seven weeks biking and hiking around four countries in Europe this summer/fall and this was the hotel I least liked. Thankfully the main attraction, the famous Lipizzaner horses, made up, a bit, for the disappointment. ||I arrived by bike and at first sight the hotel looks very interesting architecturally so you imply it will be just a neat inside. Unfortunately, someone went a bit too far and things just don’t add up in a harmonious way. ||My room on the ‘800’ floor was modern but uber-cumbersome. Twelve lights, each with their own switch, not counting the ones in the bathroom and shower. There are plugs and switches everywhere. Each light is just a pot light that gives very little light so it feels like a cave in the room even with all the lights on. ||There was a neat little trick when you turned the TV on, it said Welcome Mrs. (add your last name here). I checked the hotel information on the TV and then turned it off. Two times, though, it turned itself back on and I had to repeat the OFF command. Thankfully it didn’t happen again during the night, waking me up.||It took forever to connect to the internet, dropping me off often. The sink had a long crack in it so I feared using it. ||My view from the room was of the roof of a huge building probably for equipment for this vast place. ||This modern concept is made to go with a horse & barn theme I’m guessing but it just doesn’t work. Maybe it pleases the casino-type crowd but we were on a gourmet tour here and this place just didn’t cut it, sorry to say.||The bright side of all this was the reception, however. They were welcoming and quick both at arrival and departure. Thank...
Read moreVery very nice. 🏨The hotel is so well designed and laid out. The cool modern tones of concrete and metal are complimented with warm wood and offer a unique modern and comfortable hotel.
📞 The reception is open airy with attentive, friendly and helpful staff. There is ample seating to sit and even a very cool cubed kids corner with loads of cushions and games to keep them entertained.
🛏️The bedrooms are spacious with open sink area in the bedroom and shower and toilets in separate enclosed areas. Toiletries and vanity supplies are available. Basic tea and coffee also available. Tv, safe and plenty of sockets and USB ports to charge your appliances. There isn't much of a view from the rooms, it would of been nice to look out to the horses or the view.
🍳Breakfast is a beautiful continental buffet, along with some hot food (smoked sausage, scrambled egg, roasted peppers, streaky bacon and mushrooms).
🍽️Dinner was delicious. They don't change the menu daily and only 1 or 2 vegetarian meals were available. 🍰The desserts were very good but wouldn't recommend the apple and pine sorbet.. it was not very nice. The staff are 5 stars... Spoke good English and very attentive and helpful. Room service is available with a good selection.
🅿️Parking is plentiful outside the front of the hotel.
👎 When checking out we found some clothes items which did not belong to us, and the cleaners had obviously not checked and removed prior to us...
Read moreMy family stopped here for lunch. The food was great, and the decor was nice. I am writing to warn off families who may consider bringing a small child to the restaurant. Despite it seeming to be family friendly (horse farm, playground, a play structure in the lobby) and despite it being uncrowded, the reception staff was not tolerant of typical toddler behavior. My husband and I traded off folllowing our one year old as he wandered around, while the other waited for food and then quickly ate, he made the occasional happy screech but no tantrums. The front desk person admonished me to control my child, saying we had been around for over an hour and that the child had been screaming the whole time. This was not the case, it was just the time it took for our food to come and he truly was not screaming. When I came back a few minutes later the front desk person was extremely defensive when I asked to speak with the manager (warning me, “don’t be rude”, and “tell the truth”) even in front of other guests, and the manager was also unhelpful, merely stating that it must have been bad. I have never experienced this before nor have I witnessed it happen to other parents, even in a situation where the toddler was crying/screaming, etc. Anyway, I’m sure this place is lovely for some but I downloaded TripAdviser and made an account to help other parents by warning, absolutely do not bring your toddler, they are not...
