Guesthouse Smogavc — Hotel in Zreče

I was there with my husband who got a Zvezdar gift coupon Sanjski oddih v dvoje from our son and after the welcome aperitifs we were delighted with the excellent, tasty dinner, including mushroom soup, pork and cheese struklji with vegetables and mixed salad, topped with cottage-blueberry strudl. The room with master bed was huge and well heated, the bathroom was completely new and well equipped, the tv set had a subscription to many channels so that in the evening we could chose from among many available movies. Although that day was raining we made a nice walk through the village and visited the church of Sv. Kunigunda where a friendly pastor showed us around and explained everything. Next morning we had a rich self-service breakfast with which we fed ourselves abundantly. We said goodbye to the amiable Smogavc family and promised to come back in spring to have a tour at the nearby Treetop Walk with observation tower which we missed this time because of the fog. My girlfriend and I were at the wedding of our friends there. Firstly, there are many parking lots and you can even sleep there. Secondly, outside of the Guesthouse there is very spacious, it can accept many people plus live music. Everything is natural, e.g. wooden tables, barrels etc. Thirdly, FOOD. Food was simply awesome. Soups were delicious (beef soup and fungus soup), then there was the main dish - very various and of a great taste, it looked very glamorous. In the evening there was a buffet with food for every taste. And at last but not least, SERVICE. Service was TOP. They were in good mood all the time, fast, nice and very helpful. They were always replacing almost empty bottles. There was always enough fruit, pastries, water and other drinks on the table. All and all...

Waiting time for food is ridiculous. We were party of 7 and waited 25min for someone to take our order, then 1h for 2 starters (cold cuts of meat and bread). And after we finished another 45min for mains. Outrageous! It can also take forever for drinks to arrive. At first when we came they were served fast, but later when I asked for more juice it took them 30min, despite me asking again after 10min, and 1 more time later. Desserts and coffees came quickly.
