The Maxton Boutique Hotel Upington — Hotel in ǁKhara Hais Local Municipality

First of all, the staff were extremely friendly, and I would definitely recommend their well presented breakfast. However, the room needed a bit more work. Neither the toilet nor the basin were very sturdy, and it seemed like they were not properly installed. Furthermore, I was a bit surprised to find that the room was linked to the next unit via a thin wooden door. This might be useful when travelling with friends, but waiting for a complete stranger to finish his phone conversation with his wife, before being able to fall a sleep is...

The rooms are okay. Not great for a winter nights stay. It was quite cold even with the Aircon on periodically. It made a loud noise. They don’t serve breakfast but give you a cash voucher. The staff are friendly but I was only told about the voucher when I queried what time breakfast was. The towels had a damn horrible smell when you used them. Upkeep needs to be better. I definitely would not recommend the stay.

It is centrally located but I would have preferred a hotel stay...

Big room, very minimalist, somewhat rustic and industrial style. Clean and neat, bathroom with big shower and the toilet got it's own door, very practical kitchenette. But just the basics.
