Myself and a friend stayed at fish eagle lodge for three weeks. We were warmly welcomed with all our needs met. Gene always made the nicest coffechocs at night . Katie is a 5 🌟 cheif . From peaceful mornings with the birds to quiet evenings with the sounds of hyenas expect to get some good sleep 😴. The residence kudou enjoy there evening cabbage beware of their horns. Whilst staying here you will also get a feeling for endless self funded donated work that goes into the fight against poaching . The garden and grounds have an ample amount of birds flowers plants and small creatures to enjoy watching the coming and goings of . The bathroom is in need of updating but acceptable. I would advise when booking excursion that you double check were the excursion is based and where you are being collected from as mistakes can disappoint. Otherwise I hope that anyone eles finds staying here as wonderful as we did 😃 please don't forget to check out trudy's art work which can be purchased on site and ask for details on how you can help to donate to the anti poaching cause that Eugene and his rangers can give all...
Read moreI've just returned from a 3 week stay at Fish Eagle. What a wonderful experience. You get to stay with one of the most welcoming family's you could ever meet. Be ready to be fed well. Put your diet on hold til you get back. Saying that, if you just want a fruit salad and Yoghurt in the morning, just say. Nothing is any bother to your hosts. The wildlife around the Lodge is amazing. The nyala come to the door in the morning for their cabbage leaves. Impala tend to keep their distance but they are around. You might be lucky to see the visiting porcupine or a giraffe walking along the bottom fence. The dawn chorus is a must with the yellow and red hornbills, guinea fowl and many other birds. I was a visiting volunteer for both ARRC and PNHF. This was a great base to unwind and relax. I loved it and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I only have to decide now, not if but...
Read moreOns verwagtinge was heeltemal oortref.
Jonge Anton Marais, my seun Adriaan was vasgevang in jou ervaringe en ondervindige gedurende jou jong lewe.
