Our stay at Masorini Bush Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From check-in to check-out all was professional and friendly. We stayed for 2 nights in July 2025, but really wished we could prolong our trip to be able to stay longer (our travel plans did not allow for a longer stay). The luxury tent was worth every rand spent. The detail and craftsmanship that went into the tent was evident from arrival. Everything was clean and well maintained. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed to be able to prepare meals and enjoy dining outside next to the fire pit/braai. Conveniently located close to the Phalaborwa Gate of the Kruger National Park! About a 14min drive at most. Most of the road was on a dirt road, but the road was in a good enough condition that it was not a bother. To be honest - the dirt road was in a better condition than some of the tar roads in South Africa! Communication with the owners went smoothly before, during and after our trip. We cannot recommend the Luxury Tents at Masorini enough. Thank you so much for everything Natasja and Eric! We will definitely be back.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The owners are fairly new and have apparently done quite a bit to get it all in good repair. We had hot showers and a beautiful sunset, and the room was well done. It even had USB ports in the outlets, which is perfect for Americans traveling since the converter boxes are unique here. & difficult to find. Owner was very kind & made us feel welcome. We appreciated some of the trees being marked so we knew what they were. I'd stay here again even though the road to get there was a pretty bumpy dirt road. That's to be expected when staying in the bush.

We recently came across this gem in the bushveld looking for overnight accommodation before entering Kruger via Phalaborwa gate. We were helped on short notice and the owners were fantastic hosts. Loved the A frame units we stayed in, very clean and luxurious. True bushveld feel and the impala lilies were in full bloom with bright pink flowers throughout the lodge. Enjoyed a beautifull sunset. Definitely recommend Masorini bush lodge.

Worst experience ever. I appreciated the fact that they took my call late in the evening to accommodate me. On hindsight l should have noted this as a red flag.

For one travelling on business, the 4 5km on gravel road was a strain, especially driving a sedan.

The reception was unwelcoming, maybe good for game ranging.

Room standard was not upto expectation. The furniture and hard bed was apalling in view of the rate per night.

They saw that l am not impressed with the room. About an hour later l asked to leave. They refused to refund me for the 3 nights l had paid for.

I then told them that l will sleep in my car, l could not handle the level of attitude and arrogance. I slept in my car and left as early as 06h30 to find a place to bath

Even when they offered me keys to go to the bathroom l declined the offer because of the attitude Even to think that l will get out of the car and go in the room in the middle of the night, in area with wild animals seemed insane.

After persuasion they only refunded me for one night Worst customer relations experience. Will never recommend this...

Overall good. I am a very easy customer and don't really complain. I should however just mention small things that would have definitely improved my stay a bit and maybe just helped along the whole experience. When I arrived I was as welcomed by a very friendly and helpful gentleman and he definitely made me feel like I was on vacation so kudos to him.

When I took a shower the next morning the water was barely warm unfortunately. A good cup of coffee would have easily saved me, but no decent coffee on the premises. Definitely make a plan there guys... Had a good breakfast but no salt and pepper on the table. These small things all add up to the overall experience and each on their own could easily be forgotten but if they mount up, a difficult customer will throw...
