we camped 2 weeks at this resort, endless problems with staff and security from 5 in the mornings, when staff and security arrive for shift change they shout at each other besides the fact that they are standing next to each other waking us up, out of 14 days i had to get up no less than 7 times to ask them to quiet down, it was one lady cleaner, the bigger gentlemen cleaner and one uneducated security officer, i reported this 3 times to reception and 2 times to manager direct needless to say nothing changed. further to this the drain at our camping spot was blocked 2 times. my family stayed in a chalet only to have cleaners comming in at around 3pm to 4pm to clean this is unacceptable. then the second last night a drunk guest arrived at the gate at 23h45 to get in with his drunk ass and was hooting for 15 minutes before a security gaurd came out the back room behind the gate, totally unaceptable as sone of us had to get up at 3am that morning to go do work in kruger. the resort offer free washing machines and dryers for washing of clothing needless to say more than 2 times the staff occupied the machines for a whole morning to do their personal washing before guests could do washing. regarding staff in reception i can only say shocking, we had to pay fir a extra night becouse we came in the sunday and not the saturday so a trailer was placed on the spot only the sunday morning and stil we had people on our stand the sunday night. its a great gateway to the park but i think the management team should take the chip off their shoulders and treat clients better. we stood there 14 days andbonly on day 12 did the nanager come around to ask if all is ok, this shoukd happen at least every 3rd day, i am very dissapointed and will not use this or reccomend this...
Read moreI've visited here a couple of times; once out of season, totally peaceful, hearing lions roaring at night... which gave me the completely wrong impression of the campsite; Once in season, with the camp packed, with no room with which to swing the family cat... and where we were subjected to free music as supplied by some form of concession campers... which has given me a completely different view of the camp. I suppose the lesson here is that you must take the rough and the smooth when camping. There will be times when there is going to be the inconsiderate fugglies... and unfortunately times are tough and the camp staff don't want to hurt their income by taking action. Last time I was here, I would have rated this camp a 5, based on that memory I gave it a rating of 3... And if I come back, I must first let time blur the memory...
Read morePerfectly situated only 1 min drive from the Phalaborwa Gate into Kruger. We camped here between Christmas and New year. Spent most of our time in the Kruger Park. Despite being "high" season, was relatively quiet and campsite wasn't overcrowded. Stands are nicely shaded with trees and have a braai and electricity points. Unfortunately not grass at all. There is an instant water boiler which is great to easily fill your coffee fast before heading to Kruger for sunrise. Bathrooms are clean and there are showers and a bath. The area and campsite is known to have scorpions🦂.The boys from the campsite next to use found 6 scorpions in 20min. Be sure to wear shoes at night and keep the tent zipped up! It gets very hot here is summer and unfortunately no fridge or freezer to keep things cool. Restaurant opposite the resort...
