A lovely campsite in beautiful Great Karoo location.

Campsites are spacious and level, and most have a level paved area doing away with the need of ground sheets. Lots of tress, but not all stands have shade. In all, the campsite is beautifull and peacefull, with flat terrain and easy access. Bathrooms are communal with separate facilities for men and women, as well as a dedicated bathroom for wheelchair bound persons. General bathrooms ha vexramps for those with movement impairments.

A scullery and kitchen is available, fitted with hobs, a microwave, fridge and a large chest freezer. There is a hydroboil available as well, and although working, is struggling to fill up a thermos due to the heavy limestone content of the water. A laundry with token operated washing machine is available. Tokens can be obtained from reception The camp store carries the basic needs such as meat and cool drinks. Overall a very nice camp, but some of the stands could do with a bit...

Hi fellow campers. This was the first time we have stopped at the Karoo National Park for a overnight stay after traveling from Kimberly(1st stop over). It's a very clean and friendly place. Just a pity that there is no swimming pool at the camping ground.( only one at the top end of the houses about 1 km away)However we enjoyed it and will visit again. A lot of bird life during the day and animals that are in the caravan park after dark. Will definitely visit again when I am on my way...

We stayed at the campside and found a shaded spot (that did not apply to all the stands). Turtoises fed on the lawn close to the abolution blocks and Kudus were walking around. Be careful and watch your food! The facilities were okay and clean, not very modern though. We enjoyed the cool pool as it was very hot. Actually, you are in the arid Karoo, here, so don't expect much green. We had a nice evening in the restaurant observing the lit waterhole. Especially after dark different species...

Wow, wow, wow!! I loved this park. We stayed in the chalets which were comfortable, clean and very well set up. Some things were a little dates but it didn't take away from a comfortable accomodation set up. The vistas and the views are spectacular. Game is plentiful but you have to be patient and search it out. The park itself is worth a visit for the scenery and breathtaking views. Loved it. We will certainly be back.
