Livingstone Bush Lodge — Hotel in Bela Bela Local Municipality

Terrible experience. When we arrived at check in time the lodge was not cleaned (beds not made, raw chicken on the floor, blood in the fridge, etc.) The owner's excuse is that the was no water to clean, even though we did have water upon arrival.

Furthermore, one of the room's shutter doors fell out and this room's entrance door handle was lying on the floor.

The outside room smelled like sewage and the smell became unbearable to a point where we had to move that part of the family into the main house and we shared beds.

Also in the outside bedroom, one of the guest was shocked when she tried switching on the bed lamp.

The list of things continue, and the abovementioned is only part of it.

We asked the owner to partially refund us but he is not willing to after giving us one upon the other excuse. We paid R26000 to have a peaceful weekend which we certainly did not get.

Overall, terrible experience and I would not recommend this...

Be careful when booking this place. I booked and paid almost 3 months in advance (via another platform) and a week before they forced me to cancel my reservation due to their shareholders wanting the place. They were not professional about the situation and due to the last minute cancellation, I had to find somewhere else that cost me a lot more and they did not care about my situation. I will never...

What an amazing experience! The host was extremely helpful with all requirements. Having your own private game drive vehicle was an amazing experience for all of us. A chef was arranged to cater for all our meals and the house is so well appointed. Will definitely be back here again! Thank you...
