!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY !!!

Unhygienic, Dirty, complete lack of service at this unwelcoming place. Carina is shockingly dishonest, promises were made and not kept, everything was poor EVERYTHING - Rooms are nothing like the pictures and place is not what it seems on the website. No one there cares about you. Nothing about this place can justify the price. Dirty old towels, glasses, average food with no presentation just dumped on a plate, clearly understaffed and no proper management as place is very run down and not maintained, slowest service nevermind that we were only 2 couples booked at the time , no one asks if they can get you anything you constantly have to look for someone just to get a drink. BROKEN JACUZZI after confirming it worked prior to booking - the list goes on. Preparations is Poor not even pillows on the pool loungers to sit on as this was stacked on a table full of dust and bird droppings. Yogurt given at breakfast was off and sour, KETTLE in room literally had mould and slime, bath had dead flies and bugs - need I say more? After raising concern not a single person tried to assist us or turn the situation around.

I will never recommend this place to anyone!

Exquisite location with such friendly staff that stand at the ready to help and cater to every whim. Booking a regular room is recommended as the larger room has a door which borders the main guest area. As such, it is extremely noisy. This room also looks out on the main patio with no inner curtains with the result that there’s no privacy. A regular room offers the same level of comfort, but with added privacy on the deck area and its further away from the main guest area which offers peace and quiet. All rooms look out onto a beautiful valley with proverbial four poster beds shaped as elephant tusks. The only negative were the old, lumpy pillows, which need urgent replacement. The chef cooks traditional African meals which were delicious, but for this type of venue, needs perhaps a bit more finesse in terms of having better options for a continental breakfast and enquiring with guests as to how they would prefer their meat cooked beforehand. A word of warning to coffee lovers, there’s only instant coffee, so better go and enjoy the hospitality armed...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made great memories. From the moment we arrived Theuns, Alida and staff made us feel special and they were extremely attentive. The lodge has a very serene ambience and rest and relaxation is at the order of the day. The game drives were magnificent and Theuns is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to nature and wildlife. The food was excellent and the chef made sure that all our personal requests were met. The service was flawless and we had an unforgettable time. In fact we have been raving about our experience to all our friends - encouraging them to come to your marvellous lodge.
