Stayed at Ebony Moon for 4 nights in January and it was an absolutely amazing experience.
The hosts, Roy and Monique, went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and felt right at home.
The stay was part of a business workshop. Not only did Roy and Monique take care of my accommodation, they set up the entire week long training. All the accommodation and catering was done by them. They made everything seem effortless and was always willing to help with a smile. The meals, all cooked by Monique, were exceptional. Guy Fieri meets Gordon Ramsey (without the swearing).
The rooms at Ebony Moon are beautifully furnished with mix of country feel and modern art. Everything just worked.
I can highly recommend Ebony Moon for everyone that just wants to slip away from Cape Town for a few nights and venture into the somewhat unknown area around...
Read moreWe have just spent 3 nights at Ebonymoon Guesthouse. It was a relaxed creative environment in which to completely unwind. The meals were spectacular, from delicious french toast/omelettes/full breakfast, salad lunches and a dinner of curry and sambals, one night, roasted pork shoulder another homade pizza. The little touches like fresh herbs from the garden, added the final touch, if you visit, remember to request the flambé banana's for dessert! A lot of ingredients are locally sourced with excellent flavours. The hosts, Roy and Monique ensured that the stay was everything we hoped for. The hosts are generous and welcoming and have created a wonderful atmosphere with lots to explore, discover and photograph! From curious hanging plants, a bedazzled statue of a lady's legs sticking out of the ground as if hanging upside down, a bathroom artwork in glass and ceramic and even Rumplestiltskin's spindle in the King-sized main bedroom. The place is very eco-conscious, using rainwater and grey water for the garden and the vibe is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with living spaces decorated in a mix of bohemian retro chic mixing old and new in creative ways and with even the doggos adding to the charm of staying over here.
