Excelsior Guest Farm — Hotel in Bergrivier Local Municipality

We booked a mini break weekend away at this wheat 🌾 farm.

The setting is beautiful with a set of rolling hills and valleys.

The owner is very accommodating. They offered us wood at R100 a bag.

The venue is 15 minutes drive to the town of Porterville, so it is easy to get supplies if need be.

The accomodation has ample bedrooms, beds for a really large group also with 3 caravans on site, with the best views.

There is a large braai area imdoors and a braai pit outdoors.

They have a sparkling pool.

Beautiful photo opportunities with old cars that have plants growing in them and a windmill.

It has a wedding reception hall that is very new age rustic... And a boma area for pre drinks and a band.

I suggested my son get married there when he is ready 🙂

The beds were super comfy in the farm house. New bedding. All the rooms had towels.

The farm kitchen is fully stocked with crockery.

I would take an extra loo roll.

There are 3 bathrooms. The rooms share bathrooms.

This location is out of this world! Absolutely stunning grounds. The house is spacious and has everything you need! The pool is incredible and I think we were lucky to have the whole weekend alone on the property so we had a ton of privacy. The entertainment area is absolutely perfect and there is just so much to do to keep the guests busy.

Check in and out was super easy and the hosts were super accomodating and answered all my questions quickly.

The pictures honestly do not do the property any justice. The house is stunning

Massive house, beautiful braai area, huge green lawns, easy to find and great host. We had the best weekend there and the part that isn't nice is the fact that we had to leave. It's a huge farm house with plenty of beds and the most amazing sunsets. Completely tranquil where you can feel you've been away for the weekend. Definitely an easy recommendation for anyone that just...
